From Teaching Pastor Josh Brown

Come join us for our new Wednesday night series entitled "Knowing God Changes You". We will be diving into the Scriptures to highlight different attributes of God so that we might better know and worship Him.

This series will not only fortify our understanding of God, but will extend to our hands and feet as we see how we must live in light of who God is. We will look at how God's attributes change our lives individually, how they change the church, and then even more specifically how they influence our prayer lives.

Altogether, this series will strengthen our walk with Christ by providing life application rooted in biblically sound doctrine. We hope to see you there, beginning this Wednesday, September 18, at 6:15 p.m.

Senior Adult Picnic ... This Thursday, Sept. 19

All participants (all ages are welcome!) should plan to be at the church by 8:30 a.m. for prayer and the car-pool ride (45 minutes) to Matanzas Park on Highway A1A (36 miles from Riverbend):

  • Bring your own picnic lunch and a relaxing lawn chair
  • On arrival, reservations (Free!) will be made for the visit to the fort
  • We'll take the ferry ride (Free!) across the Matanzas River to the fort for a brief exploration time, then take the ferry back to the park
  • We'll lunch in the picnic area, play some in-shade games (like cornhole, horseshoes, etc) and maybe even walk one or two of the short nature trails in the park
  • Arrival back at the church should be no later than mid-afternoon
Ferry Ride

Fort Matanzas, operated by the National Park Service, is a 1740 Spanish fort that was built as a war-time protection for St. Augustine. It was designated a U.S. National Monument in 1924 (100 years ago).

Proposed Amendment 4 to the Florida Constitution is intentionally deceptive in the way it is worded. In effect, it would allow abortions (the barbaric murder of unborn children) without limitations—even through the 9th month of pregnancy. It would allow anyone who claims to be a "healthcare provider" (even clinic employees not trained in medicine) to prescribe and perform late-term abortions. Pray that the Lord moves Floridians to prevent making this heinous practice legal. Vote NO on Amendment 4.
