Along the way you will develop your skills in plant biology and investigate a diversity of ecosystems including temperate rainforest, boreal forest, alpine, wetlands, estuaries, and coastal habitats. Irindu's Story from Sri Lanka to Canada
| |
"I'm Irindu Liyanage from Sri Lanka.
I'm currently a second-year student at Smithers campus at Coast Mountain College. Smithers is full of mountains, rivers, forests, lakes, and wild spaces to roam and breathe. It makes me think Smithers Campus is an ideal place to spend the next two years while getting adjusted for the feeling of being away from my comfort zones.
The staffs are friendly and helpful, and I can ask any questions quickly to ensure I am on the right track. I also have the opportunity to take part in various extracurricular activities. The experience at Coast Mountain College is one I will never forget, and I'm grateful for the knowledge and skills I gained so far."

CMTN in Thailand and Vietnam
| |
In March of this year, Coast Mountain College was honoured to participate in multiple in-person student fairs and education events in Asia. Our recruitment coordinator, Jieni, managed to connect with new prospective students in Bangkok, Thailand, as well as in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Vietnam.
She also managed to connect with new and existing education partners in the region. There was strong interest in some of our top programs, such as Early Childhood Care and Education, Engineering, Business Administration, and our unique West Coast Culinary program.
| |
|
Jieni was also pleased to discuss the 12 International Student Entrance Awards we offer, each with a value of $5000 CAD for students from selected regions. These awards are available for the upcoming 2023 Fall semester.
It was a pleasure for the CMTN International team to connect with prospective students, parents, and partners in Thailand and Vietnam!
