PSAT EXAM DAY INFO

Wednesday, October 16, 2024

Sophomore & Junior Parents/Guardians,

All Sophomores and Juniors will be taking the All Digital PSAT Exam on Wednesday, October 16th at Mercy High School using the students' school issued iPads. Students have been sent the following information and instructions to prepare:

  • Charge their iPads completely the night before testing and remember to bring it to school on Test Day. This is very important. Students should bring any working, personal chargers with them as well in case a charge boost is needed before testing concludes.
  • Be sure they have the Bluebook App on their iPads. They should see Mr. James in Tech right away if not, to have it added.
  • Review with your student the testing rules and student guide for the PSAT/NMSQT linked below:
  1. Testing Rules
  2. Student Guide
  • Acceptable Calculator if students choose not to use the built-in Desmos calculator in the Exam App. There is a graphing calculator built into the Exam App for use on the Math section, but students may alos bring an Acceptable Calculator as described on the College Board website at psat.org/calculator. No other calculators are permitted.
  • Pen or pencil for scratch work (does not have to be a No. 2 pencil).
  • The testing period on the school calendar is 8:00am to 12:30pm, however the school day ends for each student once they have completed the test.
  • Be sure your student gets a good night's rest. They may be out of uniform and dress comfortably (jeans, sweats, pajama bottoms, leggings/yoga pants with longer length tops) on testing day.

Thank you on behalf of the Mercy Counseling Department.
