A Message from the Principal

October is the month of the Most Holy Rosary. The feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is October 7. The Rosary is a prayer to remind us that Jesus loved us so much that he died on the cross for us. The rosary tells the story of Jesus’ life in four parts:

The Joyful Mysteries

The Sorrowful Mysteries

The Glorious Mysteries

The Luminous Mysteries

We will pray a decade of the rosary every morning as a school community throughout the month. Each time we pray the rosary we focus on Jesus’ life, a special person, or special intention. I encourage you to pray the rosary as a family during this special month.

Prayer of St Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:

where there is hatred, let me sow love;

where there is injury, pardon;

where there is doubt, faith;

where there is despair, hope;

where there is darkness, light;

where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek

to be consoled as to console,

to be understood as to understand,

to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive,

it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,

and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Amen.

(St Francis of Assisi. Feast Day- October 4)
