Grateful

Thankful

Blessed

I'm shocked by how quickly time has flown since we informed you that we were planning a Sabbath rest for our Maternity Home ministry! We are so grateful to our Holy Father for His continued goodness and faithfulness to our ministries! Thank you for reading this newsletter and allowing me to share all the ways He has been working in and through us these past few months!

Have a blessed Thanksgiving and a happy, healthy Advent season!

Your sister in Christ,

Amy Mathieu

Executive Director

Last week we celebrated Pregnancy Help Appreciation Week! Thank you volunteers, board and staff for all you do to advocate for women and babies in Orange County!

The Maternity Home is officially "on sabbatical"!

In October our last two moms to stay in our Walden home signed a lease and moved into their own place! (Please keep them, along with Tom, their landlord, in your prayers!)

Here they are with their boys in their new apartment! Please pray for peace and abundance for them as they navigate life outside the Maternity Home!

Thank you to those who joined us on October 15th for our 3rd Annual Walk4Life!

Despite the rain, we had a wonderful time fellowshipping with over 50 donors and supporters at our 3rd Annual Walk4Life! These individuals raised over $10,000 for our ministries! Thank you for your financial support as we serve women facing unplanned pregnancies with the love, encouragement, hope, tangible help and resources they need to choose LIFE!

So, if the home is closed

(for now!), what are my donations supporting?

We're glad you asked!

The number of women seeking medical care at our MyChoice Pregnancy Centers continues to grow each year! So far, in 2023 we have already performed 76 more sonograms than last year!

Do you know that as many as 75% of women will choose life after seeing their baby on an ultrasound?

We have also already served more Abortion Minded women (those who came to us expecting abortion to be the outcome of their pregnancy) and Abortion Vulnerable women (those who are vulnerable to choosing abortion based on their current life circumstances) in 2023 than we did in 2022 - and we've got more than 6 weeks to go!

You help us save, change and impact

hundreds of lives each year!

For over 20 years MyChoice has been providing medical and emotional support to women in crisis who feel they have no alternative but to end their pregnancies, often due to extreme financial hardship. Your continued support will allow us to help meet these financial burdens (if they meet the criteria) and offer more material assistance than we have ever been able to before, now that we have halted the salaries, rent and utilities of the home.

Note: All pictures are of babies served at our pregnancy centers this year!

Your financial support allows us to be available  at a critical time in a woman's life, when fear of the unknown is gripping her. Please pray that we can be effective at helping her see the immense value of the precious life that is already growing inside her!

We are also serving more immigrant women in 2023 than ever before. We are filling a crucial need in their lives by helping them navigate the situations and trauma they are experiencing and gain access to the support and resources they need to choose life!

Our relationships with other local community groups and agencies, like the nursing students at OCC who visited us during their labor and delivery curriculum this fall, make it possible for more women to learn about our free medical services and support!

Our Nurse Manager, Amy, sonographer, Linda, and Patient Resource Manager, Lisa, enjoy baby visits throughout the year as our moms come back to see us and share their precious babies with us!

Thank you Hudson Valley Knights!

Once again, the Knights of Columbus in the Hudson Valley will be supporting Beacon of Light's ministries through their fundraising this year!

Thank you KOC for standing for LIFE! We couldn't do it without you!

Our vision:

"To live in a community where all unborn babies are given the gift of life!"
