UU The Vote - Get Involved
UU the Vote (www.uuthevote.org) is our national UUA Side with Love initiative to help empower voters in key states on issues protecting our democracy. Strictly non-partisan, it is issues based. Help turnout young, low income, and otherwise disenfranchised voters this November to protect the right to abortion, LGBTQ+ rights, figh climate change, and promote racial equality.
Each week, Rev. Debra will post information about how you can volunteer in the coming week to protect democracy. When you sign up, please identify yourself as a member or friend of FUUSN. If you'd like to take a bigger role in the next two months in organizing FUUSN members to write postcards, make calls, or visit battleground states, please reach out to Rev. Debra at rev.debra@fuusn.org.

Help protect abortion access in North Carolina on Tuesday night, September 24th
UUTV PHONEBANK
September 24, 2024 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM ET
Online
Join Side With Love, UU Justice NC, Pro-Choice North Carolina, and Carolina Jews for Justice for this three-part phonebank series calling North Carolina voters. The future of abortion access in North Carolina is on the line this election! Even though there isn't a ballot initiative, abortion is absolutely on the ballot in NC, because those we elect will either defend and advance abortion access, or keep banning it. People of faith are coming together to send a powerful message that reproductive rights are aligned with our values, so let's get on the phones and turn-out pro abortion voters this fall! Sign up at

It is with sadness that I let you know of the passing this summer of Vanessa McClinchy, a member of our community for a number of years. She taught RE and was a stalwart member of the Community Breakfast crew. Her son, Sean Ross, was a graduate of our Coming of Age program. I will share her obituary with you when it becomes available. A service celebrating her life will be held at FUUSN later this fall.
Our condolences go out to her husband, Gavin McClinchy, and their son, Sean Ross McClinchy.
