Kathi Barber & Representative Lisa Blunt Rochester

Congresswoman Blunt Rochester's election in 2016 was historic and marked the first time the First State sent a woman and person of color to Congress.

Policy Makers Breakfast with Lisa Blunt Rochester

NCC Chamber of Commerce's March Policy Makers Breakfast featured U.S. Representative Lisa Blunt Rochester. The Congresswoman discussed her support of the Inflation Reduction Act, which includes: helping Delaware families to purchase energy-efficient appliances, make home repairs, and save money on their utility bills; making it easier and cheaper to purchase electric vehicles; and providing savings and tax credits for small businesses who make energy efficient improvements.

Welcome home, Lattoria!

On March 15th, we welcomed Lattoria Triplett into the Homeownership Program. Lattoria is now on her journey to becoming a homeowner, including 300 hours of sweat equity on her home and mandatory homebuyer education and financial management courses.

Remembering Dave Wolfenden

The passing of Dave Wolfenden, Former Habitat Board Member (2014-2022) and Treasurer

It is with sadness that HFH of New Castle County acknowledges the passing of former board member, Dave Wolfenden. Dave served four consecutive terms on our board, including 3 years as our Treasurer. Dave was the owner of the accounting business Wheeler, Wolfenden and Dwares. His financial and accounting experience and knowledge was invaluable in helping HFH continue its growth, manage its finances through the Covid pandemic and plan for the future.
