Chair's Corner

Dear Friends,

As I was starting to brainstorm on my October Chair’s Corner, I began by re-grounding myself with our Upcoming Events at the Arboretum email from September 29th. If you haven’t had a chance to read this email, it was packed with an awesome line-up of Fall and Holiday opportunities that you are sure to enjoy on your own, with family and friends, or even a date night! If you are like me, there is something about the passing of Labor Day that causes the calendar to quickly fill up with an array of social events, Holiday activities, as well as school, sporting, and work activities. While you probably received the events email, I wanted to take the opportunity again to help you keep front of mind what is available the last few weeks of October through December. Explore our full list of upcoming events below, click the links to learn more, and purchase tickets where needed.

As always, I want to hear from you. Please send me an email with your thoughts and ideas about our events and programing, and let me know how we are doing.

See you in the gardens,

November 25 & 26

December 2 & 3, 8-10, 15-17

Kick off your holiday season with a festive family walk through the lights! Experience the magical Gnome and Fairy Villages, serene winter woods by candlelight, and the colorful Children's Garden. Adults-Only Candlelight Stroll

Thursday, December 1

The Candlelight Stroll is for those looking for a quieter Luminary Walk that still features the glow of candles through the woods, dazzling light displays, live musical performances and the enchanting gnome houses, all without children. It's an ideal wintry date night – or "friends night out" – much more peaceful than the exuberant family-fun atmosphere of the traditional Friday and Saturday night Luminary Walks.

In addition, Embrace the Grape will sell wine and hot adult beverages to enhance your leisurely walk through the magical gardens (must be 21 to purchase alcohol).

This is an adults-only event and children under 18 will not be admitted.
