Reflecting on Loss, Legacy, & Faith in God's Plan

"Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us"
Ephesians 3:20
Greetings Ministry Partners,
Thank you, God, for this month being so memorable and important in my life.
First and foremost, I am incredibly grateful to see my friends and family who love Christ – the CCI family. We work together, striving towards the same goal. More than 200 people gathered in Chiang Mai, Thailand, for the CCI Global Conference from November 6 to 11, 2023.
We spent time together worshiping God, sharing, and praying for each other. It was a time of great blessing. We received the blessing of encouragement from Dr. David Nelson, President of CCI, and Pastor Glenn, Vice President of CCI.
Like supreme leaders, God has used them to be motivators and drivers for us to move towards the same goal of equipping, training, developing, and making disciples throughout the earth and beyond. What you two have done will serve as an example to us. We will receive these things and work together to bring glory to God.

Thank you to all our brothers and sisters in Christ who have participated in advancing the CCI mission, making an impact and creating change for the local, international, and inter-tribal church. Together, we are stronger in accomplishing this mission.
After the meeting, I traveled to visit my father, who was about to lose his strength and leave this world because he was already old. When I arrived, I talked and met with him, but he was no longer able to talk to me or eat food. He was bedridden, and I saw tears of joy at our meeting. I personally spent time with him and talked with him. Even though he couldn't speak, I could understand and know that he was glad that we met before he left this world. Two nights later, God took him to heaven while he slept. He died at the age of 83. It is the biggest and most important loss of my life. He was the first believer in my family and was the one who taught me the gospel and challenged me to give my life to God. I love him very much and am glad to be born as his child.

I want to tell him that even though he didn't have much inheritance in this world, he left me an important legacy: an example of faith in humble service to God. All the days of his life, he abided in the Lord. I also dream that one day I will pass on this legacy to my children and grandchildren.

It seems that his loss has not yet faded. Two days later.
We received news that my wife's mother has passed away. She peacefully left us to be with God in heaven while she slept, at the age of 83 - the same age as my father. This loss has been incredibly difficult for us, as we have lost two loved ones simultaneously. At first, we were overcome with grief and felt incapable of thinking or doing anything. However, as we have found calmness and entrusted everything to God, we have come to accept that His plan is the best for all of us, including our departed loved ones.

Despite experiencing great loss during this month, we take solace in the knowledge that God has not abandoned us and that He cares deeply for us. The love of God surpasses our understanding; it is greater, higher, and deeper than anything we can comprehend. We still cling to the belief that one day, we will be reunited with our loved ones and live together again.

It is important to remember that this world is only a temporary abode for us. Our true home lies in heaven, where God has lovingly prepared a place for us.
And after the funerals of both of them, I had the opportunity to visit the students and train teachers afterwards. Thank God for training teachers who will go out and make disciples, to prepare and develop others to do ministry effectively. In this training, we received cooperation and mutual agreement with organizations that have churches all over the country. The organization aims to pioneer and plant 100 new churches over the next three years. Thank God for this group deciding to partner with CCI to achieve their goal.

Finally, I know that God has a good plan for those who love Him. I place everything in the mighty hands of God. Thank you for reading and playing your part.

Please join me in prayer for myself, the pastors, and the students, that we may remain faithful in this ministry. May we be blessed to witness the establishment of the Kingdom of God in our community.

Thank you for all of you who have faithfulness in praying for and supporting the CCI ministry in Thailand as well.
God bless you,

Kittikun Meetang

Testimony
"I was born into a Christian family with a goal of serving others, such as helping at the church, being a worship leader, and cleaning, among other things. In terms of training, when Pastor Somchai's family came to serve at our church, he recommended the CCI Training Course, so I decided to enroll. Before taking this course, I didn't have a deep understanding of living a spiritual life. However, after studying the sixth book on spirituality, I realized that as Christians, we place great emphasis on spiritual growth. Without relying on the Spirit's guidance, we cannot fully understand God's will. I am grateful to the CCI course for teaching me and helping me mature spiritually."
