The UK travel industry's flagship event: where conversations, connections and ideas happen

Matt Callaghan, Chief Operating Officer, easyJet holidays and Linden Coppell, Vice President Sustainability & ESG, MSC Cruises SA will join a dynamic discussion with Minette Batters, Former President of the NFU, following her presentation at the Convention.


Matt and Linden will bring their expertise to the conversation, exploring how Minette’s sustainability insights from the farming and food industries can be applied to the travel sector. The panel will focus on integrating sustainability into core business practices, enhancing consumer trust, maintaining high standards, and addressing the challenges of climate change.

Future of leadership expert Blaire Palmer discussed workplace reform with Travel Weekly’s Ian Taylor ahead of the Convention – read the article here. Blaire emphasised leaders need to rethink how they lead and said there is "tension between what employees want and what [leaders] need from employees."

Convention hotels receive Travelife Certification

The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort and The Westin Resort, the two hotels where Convention delegates will be staying, have successfully achieved Travelife Certification.

 

Travelife certification is important for accommodation providers in today's climate as it allows for independent assessment of environmental and social impact, helps improve internal processes, and encourages long-term sustainable practices. It also demonstrates compliance with international requirements, satisfies stakeholder expectations, and can provide a competitive advantage.
