Six Pennsylvania Flocks Test Positive for Avian Influenza

Pennsylvania has seen a surge of avian influenza cases in the first week of March, with USDA confirming the disease in six flocks. Lancaster has the largest flocks, two 20,000-bird turkey farms and a breeding farm with 6,500 ducks. The other outbreaks were at small operations, two in Chester County and one in Northumberland County.

AFBF signs right to repair MOU with Case IH and New Holland

The American Farm Bureau Federation and CNH Industrial brands, Case IH and New Holland, signed a memorandum of understanding today that provides farmers and ranchers the right to repair their own farm equipment. The MOU follows a similar agreement AFBF entered into with John Deere earlier this year.

The Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Grantmaking Program | US EPA

A new $550 Million Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Grantmaking program will invest in America and expedite investments to reduce pollution in disadvantage communities. EPA intends to award up to 11 cooperative agreements under this RFA for up to approximately $50M each to be funded incrementally over a 3-year period. The deadline to apply is May 31, 2023.
