Meet the new security chief! Chief Eric Williams comes to Lee College from North Carolina and has served in various law enforcement positions, including local, state and federal, for 30 years. Williams says he's excited to work on a college campus and is, "ready to serve." If you see the chief walking around campus, don't hesitate to stop, say "hello" and give him a Texas-sized welcome. Karen Guthmiller, Kinesiology instructor, recently returned to her alma mater of Illinois Central College to be inducted into the 2024 Athletics Hall of Fame Class. During her time at ICC (1974-1990), Guthmiller served as head coach for the volleyball team and assistant coach for the softball team. Under her leadership, softball earned national champion honors in 1982, and volleyball finished as the runner-up in the 1984 national tournament. Guthmiller says, "I am immensely grateful for this recognition and to coach student-athletes in a place like no other!" Nationally known playwright and Baytown native Stacy J. Harrell brought her production of "If You Loved Me" to the Performing Arts Center. The show was an absolute success. Noah Dobbs, PAC director added, “I am super proud of what we accomplished, and I want to celebrate everyone’s hard work. This performance felt like real progress for the PAC and the type of shows we want to offer."
