In 1977, Natan Sharansky, a leading activist in the democratic dissident movement in the Soviet Union and the movement for free Jewish emigration, was arrested by the KGB. He spent nine years as a political prisoner, convicted of treason against the state. The Climate Smart Challenge is a fun, easy way to reduce your carbon foot print. Each meeting only lasts one hour and is dedicated to a different subject; electric energy use, transportation, water, food. Two of the meetings focus on emergency preparedness.

Dayenu Circle of Jewish Silicon Valley is teaming with Dayenu and the Environmental Voter Project to reach these voters in key states. Help our

non-partisan Chutzpah campaign let voters know the stakes and how to cast their ballot.

Want to learn more about being Jewish? Have questions about the Jewish religion? Join local Rabbis each week for the Intro to Judaism class. An overview of the Jewish life-cycle, holidays, and ritual. During the course of the year, students will gain an understanding of Jewish belief, history and calendar and gain exposure to important Jewish books including the Hebrew Bible and the Talmud. Each session includes thirty minutes of Hebrew instruction. The class will meet on Zoom.

 Join Saul Dreier (A Holocaust Survivor from Poland) and the Hot Kugel band, to celebrate life, strength, and music through the Jewish songs that lived with us for many years. The program will feature traditional Klezmer tunes, Eastern European melodies and Yiddish songs. The evening will open with an intimate interview, conducted by Ruth Litwin, Chair of the Healthy Aging Committee at Jewish Silicon Valley.
