Fellowship Sunday: Ministry Fair
Trinity Church needs YOU! If you have been wondering about opportunities to get involved, enjoy this year's relaxed Ministry Fair. After the single Sunday service at 10 am on Fellowship Sunday, September 11, we will have an easy, friendly Ministry Fair.
15 Trinity Ministries will be featured in the Parish Hall, and persons active in those ministries will be available to tell you about how they serve Trinity, or the wider community, or both. Ministries represented will range from Worship Ministries (such as Chalice Bearers, Acolytes, Readers, Ushers, Altar Guild, Children's Chapel) to Pastoral Care to Outreach. Every one of these ministries represents an opportunity to grow your faith in Christ and to contribute to the well-being of Trinity Church and the Highland Lakes.
One of our most active members says, "Being involved is a way to get to spend time with inspiring people." We could all use more inspiration in our lives, so come & see what new involvement might be calling you.

Summer Worship Gratitude
Warm thanks to Ashley Harper-Oberle and to the Rev. Dub Brooks for sharing their prodigious gifts with us in worship this summer. They have enriched our lives through their words and presence. We are so grateful for these two!

Milk & Juice Boxes Urgently Needed
We learned at a Hunger Alliance Meeting this week that The Helping Center (the food pantry we support) urgently needs the community to donate food, not money. Money is not as useful right now because there is not much food to buy from the Austin Food Bank.
We are asking Trinity members to donate 50 packages of these two desperately needed items: milk & juice. The Helping Center can easily give away hundreds of packages of juice & milk per day, and their supply is critically low.
Shelf-stable Boxed Milk - any size & any number of units per package
Boxed Juices - any size & any number of units per package
Simply shop at HEB or WalMart, add another item or two to your cart and deliver these items to Trinity Church any time between now and September 11.
"I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink." Matthew 25:35

Please see Kathy Nicholl on Fellowship Sunday, September 11 for raffle tickets.

Sunday Adult Education Sneak Preview
Most of us know something of our family histories, and these stories inform, shape, and occasionally inspire our lives. Beginning in mid-September, we're going to immerse ourselves in our shared family story as Christians: the Bible! We'll be reading & discussing together the highlights of this Christian story using an award-winning, accessible, abbreviated Bible called, The Path: a Journey through the Bible.
Walk in the footsteps of faithful men and women who have done their best to follow God's call. The Path is the story of the Bible, excerpted from the New Revised Standard Version so that it is clear and easy to read. Follow the path of God's love all the way from the beginning to the end, from creation in Genesis to new creation in Revelation.
With informative trail signs to help us see how each piece of the narrative fits together, The Path is an experience unlike any other: an amazing 360-degree overview of the vast, sweeping story of God's extraordinary love for ordinary people.
Join us on this epic adventure, a journey to learn anew or refresh our encounter with our Christian family story, a journey through the Bible to grow closer to God.
Here's a link to more testimonials about The Path LINK
Trinity Church will provide copies of the book.

Come, See, and Sing!
Jesus invited new disciples to "Come and see." We invite you to do the same with choir! Please talk with Barbara Warden, any choir member, or the clergy if you'd like to connect with Choir and give it a try.

Quilts Needed!
St. Francis Ministries is opening a new facility this fall to support foster children. The new residence in Lubbock will house 24 children, ages 6-18, from all over Texas who need intensive trauma therapy. One of our members is coordinating supplies among Trinity, St. Michael's and All Saints' Episcopal Churches. If it is your ministry, please purchase a new twin-sized quilt(s) and bring to Trinity by the end of September.
