Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together


Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15 by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Join Coastline for a series of fun, informative, and exciting activities to celebrate all month long!

Hispanic Heritage Month Events


Indigenous Music of the Americas and Aztec Sound Bath

Martin Espino will be offering a program of native music from North, Central and South America. The audience will be able to sing along in native languages and play actual native instruments. At the end of the program, Martin will present a very relaxing, stress relieving and rejuvenating "Aztec Sound Bath."

PLAYGROUND Art Exhibition: Radical Playfulness in Latin Contemporary Art and Beyond

The exhibit - curated by Saltfineart - will be running from 8/28 - 10/17 at the Coastline Art Gallery. Bring your family, bring a date, bring friends! Additional Gallery Walk Through, Food, and Podcast dates are September 18th & 25th, and October 2nd & 9th, all 11am-1pm.

Painting With Cochinilla

Come experiment with a centuries old dyeing technique using cochineal (an insect found on cacti) and different acids found in nature to paint on preprinted cloth. Become familiar with a process used by the Aztec and Maya peoples of North and Central America as early as the second century BC.

Submerge yourself in Fiesta en El Barrio, where the colores are vibrant, the sonidos contagious, and the flavors are autenticos! You will be transported to the rich and colorful streets of Latino America! This is a fiesta for the senses, and an opportunity to come together and celebrate the beautiful diversity, history, and community unity of our Hispanic/LatinX familia!

Taste the Untamed Rainforest - learn to really taste the nuances between single farm chocolates while discussing how chocolate is made. This experience is like nothing you have had before!

Navigating Identity and Leadership: A Conversation with Dr. Ángel González

Join us on National Coming Out Day for a transformative workshop in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month and LGBTQ+ History Month, featuring Dr. Ángel González, an esteemed Assistant Professor of Higher Education Administration and Leadership. As a queer, non-binary, and Latinx individual, Dr. González brings a unique perspective to the discussion on cultural and identity navigation.

Calling All 1st-Gen STEM Majors: The Coastline MESA Program is Here!


MESA provides support services for underrepresented students pursuing degrees in calculus-based STEM majors through specialized academic advising, community building, tutoring, supplies, and more!


Do you identify as a 1st generation college student? Are you eligible to receive need-based financial aid? Are you looking to transfer to a four-year university for your 1st bachelor's degree? Are you in a calculus-based STEM major at Coastline?

Xploit Cybersecurity Club Meeting

UC Transfer Ready: TAP, TAG, and Application

Applying to a UC campus in Fall 2025? You need this virtual Zoom workshop to learn all the UC tools you need to help transition to a UC campus. Find out the benefits of having a TAP account (Transfer Admission Planner), if you qualify for TAG (Transfer Admission Guarantee), which UC campuses accept TAG, and receive an overview of the UC application. Know how to use these UC tools to have a competitive UC application and become UC-transfer ready.

Let the Coastline Pantry Help You Save on Groceries!

Spend your money on more than groceries! The Coastline Food Pantry supports students' nutritional needs with both perishable and non-perishable items available free of charge through weekly programming and Food Box pick up. The Coastline Food Pantry does not require an RSVP or reservation. All Coastline students are welcome to utilize the weekly Food Pantry and only need to check in via the Coastline Mobile App. Pick-ups are 11am-1pm on Mondays (Garden Grove Campus), Thursdays (Newport Beach Campus), and the second Tuesday of each month (Westminster-Le Jao Campus). Hey, Dolphins! Did you know that you have a free resource to basic needs, from any city within the United States? That's right! Food assistance, low cost prescriptions, transportation, housing assistance and more. You can access free or low cost services through the TimelyCare app. Signing up is easy. September is Suicide Prevention Month
