The Legitimate Colorado GOP SCC Meeting

on Saturday, August 31, 2024

Today, at the only valid SCC meeting in August, the Colorado GOP made significant strides forward under the strong leadership of Chair Dave Williams. Today's meeting (8/31) was a palpable spirit of unity and determination, and it was deeply disappointing to see some state-elected officials miss the opportunity to participate and cast their votes, which is a foundational act of commitment to their constituents.

We praise those who stood resolutely today and were present, like Brandi Bradley from HD39, Mark Baisley from SD2, Kevin Van Winkle from SD30, Scott Bottoms from HD15, Ken DeGraff of HD22, and Stephanie Luck from HD60. Their unwavering commitment at today's meeting helped solidify our strategic direction and highlighted their steadfast allegiance to our core values and principles to the Colorado GOP.

However, the No-Show, No-Proxy of certain elected officials, namely Steve Peck and Meghann Silverthorn of the DCGOP, along with Anthony Hartsook from HD44 and Lisa Frizell from HD45, were notable disappointments. About 30 other State elected officials chose not to attend. This starkly contrasts with the unity and vigor demonstrated by the majority today. These individuals must recognize that their re-election bids depend on aligning more closely with the party's objectives and the expectations of their supporters.

Under Chair Dave Williams, today's gathering wasn't just routine; it was a crucial juncture that fortified the leadership's position through the overwhelming approval of bylaw amendments and a resounding vote of confidence to retain our current officers. This clear mandate from the party members underscores a collective endorsement of our leadership's direction and strategy.

As we edge closer to what may be the most critical election cycle in our history, our party can't afford distractions from faux leaders. It's time for every GOP member to rally vigorously behind Chair Williams and our leadership team. The focus now shifts to an all-out effort to ensure President Donald J. Trump's re-election (for the third time) and to advance our down-ballot candidates.

To those who demonstrated their loyalty and commitment today, your actions are deeply appreciated and crucial to success in our state. To those who were absent, it's time to step up and realign with your party's aims and the expectations of your constituents. Under Dave Williams' leadership, the GOP is surging ahead with renewed strength and unity, ready to tackle the upcoming challenges and transform our shared vision into reality. We urge all our officials to fully engage in this pivotal campaign season. Let us move forward and fight, fight, fight to elect Trump and make strides in bringing back Colorado to red.

My Take on A Leadership Fiasco

Alright, fellow Patriots, let's dive into what's happening in Douglas County GOP at their August 20 meeting. A leader has taken a masterclass in how to torpedo your own ship with stunning style.

First off, we've got our GOP Chair Steve Peck, who thought it was a bright idea to air his personal views like dirty laundry for all to see, forgetting one tiny detail: when you're the Chair, you're not just speaking for yourself. You're the voice of the party you represent on and off the field. And when 17 out of 28 District Captains are looking at you like you've just suggested we all switch to communism, you've got a problem. How many more in the DCGOP did his letter offend?

Now, Chair Peck, in a move that could only be described as politically suicidal, tells his own membership to essentially take a hike... or, more accurately, to go to a place much hotter (that HE-Double Toothpicks place, YES, he really did). This, my friends, is not how you win friends or recruit people to your cause.

Here's the deal: with only about 70 days until the most crucial election of our lifetime, this Peck decides it's the perfect time for a personal crusade. Here's a tip for aspiring political leaders: with an election countdown happening, this is not your time for picking fights with your members.

What we're seeing here is a classic case of Leadership 101gone wrong:

Lesson One: Your title isn't just for show. It's not a costume you can take off when you feel like being "just one of the guys." When you're the Chair, every day is showtime, and you're representing more than just your own whims.

Lesson Two: When you find yourself in a hole, the first rule is to stop digging. But our Chair here? He's got himself an excavator. Telling your team to go to hell isn't just lousy PR; it's like setting your house on fire to keep warm.

Lesson Three: Timing in politics isn't everything; it's the only thing. Why launch into controversial personal statements when unity is needed most? That's like bringing a knife to a gunfight. You're not just unprepared, you're actively sabotaging yourself.

The grassroots conservative movement thrives on unity, shared values, and leaders who can navigate the ship without steering it into an iceberg (for all you flat earthers out there, off the edge of the map). We need leaders who understand that their role is to serve, represent, and unify. Not to indulge in personal ideological quests at the worst possible time.

So, to the Douglas County GOP Chair, here's a thought: explore those personal quests after the election and focus on the task at hand. And to conservatives everywhere, let this be a lesson in what happens when ego trumps strategy when personal battles overshadow the war for our country's sole.

Remember, we're in this to win, not to watch our leaders turn our movement into a farce. Keep it conservative, keep it smart, and for heaven's sake, keep it together.

act as if all the world were watching."

Who Needs Facts When Feelings Feel So Good?

Oh, the sheer joy of voting with one’s feelings rather than one's brain! The recent DNC showcased this phenomenon beautifully, with progressive Democrats bouncing about, hearts on their sleeves, blissfully unaware of the contradictions in their stance. It’s like they’re living in a reality TV show, except the consequences are real, folks.

Democrats pride themselves on being the champions of the "little guy," (LOL) the downtrodden, the disenfranchised. Yet, when you look at where these guardians of the poor choose to live, it's all about gated communities, top-tier schools (whiter than a snowstorm in Aspen), and local eateries that serve quinoa salad rather than fast food. Do you think they'd survive a day in the neighborhoods whose interests they pretend to serve? Let’s not kid ourselves, and Oprah railing about income inequality, George Orwell would be so proud.

It's fascinating, isn't it? These types of voters, highly educated, high earners, mostly nestled in liberal fortresses like San Francisco or Boulder, routinely vote for policies that are supposedly against their economic interests. "The rich need to pay more taxes," they chant from their multi-million-dollar, eco-friendly towers. But do they really believe in sharing their wealth, or is it just a lovely guilt-relief mechanism, a way to sleep better in their Egyptian cotton sheets?

Let’s break it down. These voters feel “great” voting for feel-good policies. It gives them a moral high, like a hit of organic Weed. What they get in return, however, are policies that ultimately benefit them, keeping their neighborhoods free of undesirables, their schools elite, and their conscience clear while keeping the average American down and out. It’s an emotional charity, folks, where feelings matter more than effective solutions.

Consider this: liberals govern the cities with the worst outcomes for the very groups they claim to champion. Segregated schools? Check. High crime? Check. Poor living conditions? Double check. Yet, they pat themselves on the back for their progressive values while the cities and people they govern crumble under the weight of ineffective policies and graft, driven by emotions rather than practicality.

And what about taxes? Oh, the irony! The U.S. tax system taxes the rich quite heavily. Yet, it seems every time a Democrat is at the helm, the rhetoric soars. Meanwhile, Republican policies like the Earned Income Tax Credit actually that put money directly into the hands of the poor look to be repealed. But hey, who needs facts when feelings feel so good?

The bottom line? While liberal Democrat voters indulge in their emotional feelings binge, thinking they’re helping the less fortunate, they're actually ensuring their comfortable status quo, all while sipping the Jim Jones Kool-Aid of social justice, DEI, and the killing of innocent lives. So next time a progressive Democrat tries to tell you they vote with their heart because it’s the “right thing to do,” maybe remind them to try using their brain instead. It might just make a real difference.

"We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force."

Labels & Preserving the Republican Party

Labeling Republicans who do not fully align with conservative principles as “RINOs” or “Trans-Republicans” is not only justified but necessary. This practice ensures that the Republican Party remains true to its foundational values and prevents dilution by those more interested in appeasing the Progressives than standing up for conservative values and principles. Here’s why this approach is essential for our Republican party’s strength and future success:

  • Maintaining Ideological Strength

Calling out the weak is about preserving the Republican Party's core values and principles. Without a clear standard, the party risks becoming a watered-down version of itself, indistinguishable from the opposition (a swamp). By identifying and naming RINOs or Trans-Republicans, we ensure that only those committed to advancing true conservative policies are leading the charge. Unity without principles is meaningless; it’s unity for the sake of power.

  • Promoting Accountability

Labeling weak Republican politicians holds them accountable to the voters who elected them based on conservative promises (like not supporting taxes). They should face scrutiny and criticism if they waver or betray these values and principles. The label serves as a warning to others that abandoning conservative values will not go unnoticed or unchallenged. It’s a way to keep our elected officials honest and aligned with the will of their constituents.

  • Encouraging Bold Leadership

The RINO or Trans-Republican label distinguishes those who are willing to fight for conservative ideals from those who prefer to play it safe by compromising and appeasing. Bold leadership requires conviction, not capitulation. By calling out the weak Republicans, we encourage more assertive, more committed members and leaders who are not afraid to stand up for what they believe, even in the face of opposition.

  • Ensuring Electoral Success Through Distinctiveness

The GOP membership requires a clear choice, not a muddled mess of leaders who all sound alike. By identifying and marginalizing weak Republicans, the Republican Party can present a distinct and coherent platform that stands in stark contrast to the Democrats. This sharp distinction drives voter enthusiasm and turnout (it does not drive them away), leading to election victories. The electorate deserves a party that stands for something, not one that shifts with the winds of political expediency.

  • Safeguarding the Future of Conservatism

The Republican Party's long-term success depends on its ability to remain steadfast in its principles. Allowing weak Republicans to steer the party off course jeopardizes not only immediate political gains but also the future of conservatism in America. By exposing the weak Republicans, we protect the party from internal erosion and ensure that it remains a stronghold for conservative values for generations.

  • Building a Stronger, More Resilient Party

Unity is not built on a foundation of compromise and weakness. It is built on shared values and principles with a commitment to those values and principles. The RINO and Trans-Republican labels serve as a rallying cry for those who believe in a strong, principled Republican Party. They strengthen the party by weeding out those who would dilute its message and undermine its goals. Ultimately, this creates a more focused, effective political force capable of taking on the Progressive Left and winning.

Labeling weak Republicans as RINOs or Trans-Republicans is not only appropriate but essential for the health and future of the Republican Party. It’s about preserving the integrity of our principles, holding our Politicians, Leaders, and Members accountable, and ensuring that the party remains a true representative of conservative values. Without this critical distinction, the Republican Party risks losing its identity, purpose, and ability to lead the nation in the RIGHT direction.

Just More Reasons Why We Need NEW Free Thinking Conservatives on Parker Town Council

The Town of Parker has spectacularly gone off the rails, transforming a sunny August 4th Sunday into a montage straight out of a George Orwell novel, a dystopian police state. This shocking spectacle unfolded at Salisbury Park with Douglas County Pride Fest, held in Parker after being rebuffed by Castle Rock. The scene was absurdly fortified, with a police presence robust enough to shield President Trump better than the Secret Service.

The residents of Parker, armed with tickets to enter the festival, were met with a disproportionate response bordered on ludicrous. Far from causing chaos, these ticket-holders were part of a prayer group, handcuffed, and issued tickets for trespassing. The overreach didn’t end there. Incredibly, let’s add snipers, drones, and K9 Units positioned as though the town anticipated a siege from the Chinese military. This isn't just excessive. It’s a dangerous precedent.

The mastermind? It appears to fall on the shoulders of the Town Manager, Michelle Kivela, who operates under the absent oversight of a Parker Town Council that has the vertebral fortitude of jellyfish. Due to the Town Manager and Town Council’s ineptitude, we, as Christian Conservatives, find ourselves labeled as Terrorists for PRAYING rather than citizens, receiving a chilling "Welcome to Parker" that feels more like an authoritarian boot of the Gestapo.

Some citizens made their discontent known during recent Town Council meetings, yet it feels like shouting into the void unless we escalate our response. The complete lack of disregard from the Town Council for Parker citizens and the rude and condescending remarks from Josh Rivero and Anne Barrington make the videos worth watching. And if you need some fascinating yet comical reading, search for Laura Hefta’s recent Facebook posts, which include the DOXING of two individuals and what some consider out-of-touch comments.

November's election isn’t just an election, it's a dire necessity to reclaim the very fabric of our Parker community. We MUST replace all three council seats, occupied by Laura Hefta, Todd Hendreks, and John Diak, to dismantle the current Town Council regime that has allowed our town to slide towards becoming the next Aurora thanks to bureaucrat Michelle Kivela as Town Manager and others in the Town Administration.

Let’s be clear: this is about Parker's soul. If the sight of our neighbors being handcuffed for PRAYING at a park doesn’t galvanize you, consider the future that awaits us if we stay this course. A future where purchasing a bottle of Jack Daniels, a six-pack of Coors, attending church, openly praying, or displaying a U.S. flag on your car could see you detained or arrested. Think it’s an exaggeration? History is littered with the ruins of societies that underestimated their leaders' tilt towards tyranny. Watch “Letters To The American Church,” then think about these actions again.

Soon, you will see and hear from the new slate of Conservative candidates for Parker Town Council. These new spunky candidates will need our help giving Time, Talent, and Treasure to win. The clock is ticking, and our actions now will determine whether Parker remains a beacon of freedom or becomes a tale of lost liberties. Let this moment be the catalyst for change, for if we fail to act, we may find ourselves in a future where the freedoms we took for granted are nothing but echoes of a bygone era. Rally the troops, Parker; your town, your rights, and your children’s future are calling for you.

Let's Take Back HD-43, Douglas County!

Originally published by the Colorado GOP

The District:

House District 43 is a large portion of Douglas County, including the city of Highlands Ranch. HD43 leans Republican but was lost to a Democrat, Bob Marshall, in the last election.

The Democrat:

The Democrat, Bob Marshall, won the seat by a hair in 2022. In fact, Bob Marshall is the only Democrat elected in Douglas County outside of Douglas County School Board; so Douglas County Republicans would be grateful to remove him from any position of power, considering DougCo does not lean left.

Bob Marshall wrote an extremely anti-police bill in his first term as State Representative, which swiftly died even in the Democrat super majority. The bill, HB23-1206, would have prohibited county Sheriffs from engaging in political activity, whether via fundraising, endorsements, or simply displaying political memorabilia. HB23-1206 was a clear jab at the pro-police movement, and Bob Marshall wants to silence police who wield considerable influence with endorsements and campaigning, almost always on the side of Republicans since Democrats hate police. The bill would have singled out Sheriffs as not being allowed to engage in political activity, but not State Representatives like Bob Marshall, which is election interference by way of First Amendment suppression.

Bob Marshall has disdain for police, as evidenced in the video taken from 2023, when he argued with police and caused a massive disruption.

Bob Marshall serves Douglas County, thanks to an election so close that it went to a recount, so he knows that his seat is vulnerable if he votes for radical issues while making noise about those votes. Therefore, Marshall does not speak publicly about most of his controversial votes. Bob voted for HB24-1039, the bill that compels teachers to transition children behind parents' backs by way of using gender-confusing pronouns for students who want to identify as another gender. Marshall also voted Yes on HB24-1071, Name Change to Conform with Gender Identity, the law that allows transgender people convicted of crimes to change their names.

Our Republican Candidate

Matt Burcham

Matt is a Colorado native and seventeen-year resident of Highlands Ranch. He has been married for to his wife Meredith for 23 years and has three children, ages 15, 13, and 6. Matt is active in the Douglas County Republican Party, serving as both a precinct and district captain in Highlands Ranch.

When asked why he is running to be the next HD43 State Representative, Matt says, "Let’s face it: we have seen what it is like to have a far-left Democrat represent our community in the Legislature. Our values are not his values, and his priorities are not our priorities. When it counts, our Representative stands with the Boulder Democrats, not the common-sense families here in Highlands Ranch. I also believe we Republicans are strongest when we are UNITED. I won’t waste time fighting with fellow Republicans over petty differences because there is too much work to do! My objective is to show voters in HD43 that conservative principles and ideas are proven best to solve Colorado’s challenges with growth, education, crime, immigration, taxes, homelessness and jobs."

Matt Burcham's objectives are:

  • Defend TABOR & Lower Our Taxes
  • Promote Economic Growth & Job Creation
  • Ensure Public Safety & Back the Blue
  • Support School Choice & Parental Rights
  • Protect our Water & Property Rights
  • Preserve 2A & Our Constitutional Rights

Burcham supports school choice, including public, private, charter, vocational and homeschooling options that provide various career pathways. Matt believes that as a state, we must put pressure on the Federal Government to secure the border, reform our broken immigration system and uphold the rule of law.

"I want Christians to consider who they vote for. We look a lot at the presidential elections. And that's where so much of our focus is, especially from the media, but some of the most important elections are the local elections - the mayors, city council members, county commissioners, school boards.

We need Christian men and women not only running for office but voting and getting behind other

Christians that are running for office."

The Slippery Slope of Compromise

Ah, the age-old conundrum of sticking to one's guns versus the slippery slope of compromise (like Anthony Hartsook CO044, voting for a Democrat House Chairperson when a Republican candidate was available to vote for), as seen through the lens of a principled Grassroots Conservative Republican. Imagine, if you will, the construction of a skyscraper, not just any skyscraper, but one that symbolizes the very ideals of conservatism.

Now, if you're a grassroots conservative, your skyscraper is built on the bedrock of principles like limited government, free markets, and traditional values. Each floor represents a policy or belief, meticulously crafted, ensuring that the structure stands tall against the winds of progressivism. Are you compromising on these principles? That's like deciding to save a few bucks by skimping on the steel frame. Sure, it looks the same from the outside, but when the first storm hits, you're looking at a potential tragedy, not just of architecture, but of ideology.

Here's where the analogy gets fun: Compromising on building codes might lead to a literal collapse, but in politics, it's a slow, insidious erosion (death by a 1000 cuts). You start by saying, "Maybe we can bend on this Chair vote," or "Perhaps we could tweak our stance on taxes and immigration for a broader appeal." Suddenly, once a beacon of conservative thought, your skyscraper starts leaning like the Tower of Pisa.

From a grassroots perspective, being a principled Conservative Republican means your skyscraper isn't just about standing; it's about standing for something. It's about ensuring that every policy, vote, and speech reinforces the foundation of American First Values. Compromise, in this view, isn't just about losing an election; it's about losing the very essence of what conservatism stands for. It's not just a tragedy for the party; it's a betrayal of the principles that built the conservative movement. So, stick to the American First Values and Principles, or watch your skyscraper become a metaphor for what happens when ideals are compromised.

"A single lie destroys a whole reputation of integrity."

The Demonization of Whiteness

Amid America's current social disorder, a glaring hypocrisy has reared its ugly head at the DNC this last week, “the demonization of whiteness.” As a grassroots conservative firmly grounded in the principles of individualism and fairness, I can't help but call out this absurdity. This isn't just a misguided narrative; it's a blatant injustice, and it's time to tear down this facade with the unapologetic bluntness it deserves. This is directly from the Carl Marx playbook to take over our country’s citizens.

Let's cut through the BS, this prevailing notion that white Americans are privileged oppressors is not just intellectually lazy, it's dangerously divisive. It's a sweeping generalization that conveniently ignores the diverse experiences within the white community. By painting everyone with the same broad brush, this narrative does precisely what it claims to fight against: it judges people solely based on their skin color. Whatever happened to judging people by their actions and character?

The role of the media, academia, and, disappointingly, our own government entities in perpetuating this DEI anti-white narrative is nothing short of reprehensible. These institutions, which should champion objectivity and fairness, have instead become echo chambers of this divisive ideology. They’re not just bending the truth; they’re breaking it, reshaping it into a weapon against an entire group based on race.

Let's talk about the ACLU and the current Biden/Kamala administration, shall we? Their endorsement of this narrative is the embodiment of hypocrisy. They speak of equality and justice yet turn a blind eye to this blatant race-based scapegoating. If this isn't a double standard, I don't know what is.

And let's not mince words about the historical comparisons being drawn. Sure, likening this to the pre-Holocaust era might seem over the top. Still, the underlying principle is the same: demonizing a group of people based on inherent characteristics leads nowhere good. History is screaming lessons at us, and it's high time we listened.

The narrative that positions "whiteness" as the root of all societal evil is not just wrong; it's a destructive and divisive lie. It's an affront to the values of fairness and individual responsibility that are supposed to define our society. We need to reject this narrative with the scorn it deserves and reaffirm our commitment to the true Conservative American ethos, judging people not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. Anything less is a betrayal of our principles.

"I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

Would you Like A Large Fry With Your Order Today?

In an era where your wallet feels lighter whenever you go to the grocery store or fill up your vehicle, the promise of reducing bills might sound like a mirage. Yet, President Donald Trump has thrown his hat into the ring with a vow that that is economic salvation: slash energy costs by half, or more, within a year to 18 months of taking office. As Americans grapple with the cost of living, Trump's pledge to "Drill, Baby, Drill" and dismantle "climate tyranny" could redefine energy policy. Below, I will walk you through why we need Trump and his energy policies by explaining (specifically Oil and Natural Gas) the life cycle of a French Fry you get at your favorite fast-food eatery.

1. Farming the Potatoes

  • Fertilizers: The journey begins with the potato farmer. Fertilizers, often made using natural gas (ammonia production), are applied to the fields.
  • Watering & Harvesting: Diesel fuel powers irrigation systems and harvesting equipment.
  • Energy Cost Estimate:
  • Fertilizers (Natural Gas): 10-15% of total farming cost.
  • Fuel for Equipment (Diesel): 5-10% of total farming cost.

2. Transportation to Processing Plant

  • Fuel for Transport: Once harvested, potatoes are transported to a processing plant. Trucks, usually powered by diesel, are the primary mode of transportation.
  • Diesel Fuel: 3-5% of total transportation cost.

3. Processing the Potatoes into French Fries

  • Peeling, Cutting, and Blanching: The potatoes are peeled, cut, and blanched at the plant. Electricity, often generated from natural gas, powers these processes.
  • Frying: The most energy-intensive step, where the cut potatoes are fried in vegetable oil. The fryers are often heated using natural gas.
  • Energy Cost Estimate:
  • Electricity & Natural Gas for Processing: 15-20% of processing cost.
  • Frying (Natural Gas & Oil): 20-25% of processing cost.

4. Freezing and Packaging

  • Freezing: After frying, the fries are flash-frozen. This process typically uses electricity, with natural gas often being the source of this energy.
  • Packaging: The frozen fries are then packaged for shipping.
  • Energy Cost Estimate:
  • Freezing (Electricity from Natural Gas): 5-10% of freezing cost.
  • Packaging (Electricity from Natural Gas): 2-5% of packaging cost.

5. Transportation to Distribution Centers

  • Fuel for Refrigerated and Frozen Transport: The packaged fries are transported in refrigerated/frozen trucks to distribution centers and restaurants.
  • Diesel Fuel for Refrigerated Transport: 3-5% of total transportation cost.

6. Final Preparation at the Restaurant

  • Frying: Once at the restaurant, the fries are fried again before serving. The fryer is typically powered by natural gas, and the oil is a significant cost here as well.
  • Serving: The fries are then served to the customer.
  • Energy Cost Estimate:
  • Natural Gas for Frying: 10-15% of restaurant frying cost.
  • Oil for Frying: 20-25% of restaurant frying cost.

Summary of Oil and Natural Gas Costs:

  • Farming: Fertilizers (10-15% Natural Gas)
  • Processing*: Frying (20-25% Oil, 15-20% Natural Gas/Electricity)
  • Restaurant Preparation: Frying (20-25% Oil, 10-15% Natural Gas)

Overall Estimated Contribution:

  • Natural Gas: Accounts for about 40-55% of energy costs across the life cycle.
  • Oil: Accounts for about 20-25% of the energy costs.

These percentages are estimates based on typical energy usage patterns and could vary based on specific practices, geographic location, and energy prices.

Under President Trump's leadership, America will become energy independent again, driving down the cost of natural gas and oil, directly benefiting everyday people. His pro-energy policies will lower production costs across agriculture and food service industries. The French fry, a symbol of American ingenuity, could be produced and served at a lower cost thanks to affordable energy. Trump's focus on deregulation and boosting domestic energy production will ensure that the hardworking American family can enjoy one of life's simple pleasures, like a plate of fries, without the burden of soaring energy costs. A Trump presidency put Americans first, right down to every last fry.

Parker Conservatives Meeting

A note on Deep Space

Are you planning a conservative event and in search of the perfect venue? Deep Space in Parker could be an excellent fit for you if you expect at least 80 attendees and plan on ordering food and beverages. While there is a minimum spend requirement, this should easily be met with a guest list of 80-100 people. If you're interested, please contact me, and I'll connect you with the owners of Deep Space to discuss further details.

Please note that Parker Conservative meetings are PRIVATE

and for Conservatives ONLY!

Media outlets and any type of journalist are NOT INVITED

and will be turned away.

Parker Conservative meetings are held in a

private meeting space that is not open to the public.
