Northeastern Jurisdiction meets in special session Oct. 15
The Northeastern Jurisdiction (NEJ) will meet in a virtual special called session on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Delegates from the 10 annual conferences will hear a report from the NEJ Episcopacy Committee, to be delivered by Bishop LaTrelle Easterling, and the NEJ College of Bishops, delivered by Bonnie Marsden, regarding episcopal elections. The delegates will then vote on the number of bishops to elect during the regularly scheduled Jurisdictional Conference. The options before them are to elect between zero and four bishops.

Visitors are invited to watch the Special Session live on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jogZp5SmuFw.

The regularly scheduled Northeastern Jurisdictional Conference (which was postponed from 2020) will be held Nov. 2-4, at The Hotel in College Park, Maryland. Only the delegates will be able to attend the in-person session. The meeting will be live-streamed. A link to that meeting will be provided on the NEJ website at nejumc.org.
