REGULATIONS, RESOURCES, RUCTIONS
2022 has been a TUMULTUOUS year - Back in the Capitol after two years of COVID - budget surpluses vanishing over fears of inflation, affordable housing needs greater than ever, with resources dwindling. Homelessness worse than ever.

This is a year where regulations are changing so quickly application forms can't keep up, resources are shrinking after years of modest abundance and the discussions about developing more affordable housing are growing LOUD.
CAL-ALHFA is pleased to be hosting our two signature events IN PERSON on
October 24 and 25, 2022. These events may not be polite but they will be interesting!
THESE TIMES CALL FOR RUCTIONS!!
A lot of words have been spoken on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion - but have those words translated into home ownership programs for the BIPOC Community?

Our Single-Family Symposium will feature:

  • Case Studies of local agencies who are providing new homeownership opportunities
  • Presentations by home-ownership programs in operation in CA.
  • Discussions of how changing practices in SFR mortgage underwriting are increasing the number of minority households finally able to buy their own homes and build their wealth.
