GMAR Labor Day Office Hours
GMAR Dues Renewal Process
|
On Wednesday, September 4, we will email each member an individual 2025 dues renewal invoice that can be paid via MasterCard/Visa, or an e-check. We will no longer mail paper invoices to members. Furthermore, we will no longer accept checks in the mail, or cash or credit cards at our office. This new procedure creates a more secure payment process and will make it easier for members to locate their dues bill. No one will need to remember a login because the emailed links are unique for each member. If someone loses their email, they can just contact our office and we can resend it.
Please note – dues are not refundable. If you are unsure if you will continue Real Estate in 2025, please wait to pay your 2025 dues until you know for sure as they will not be refunded once paid. As in past years, invoices are due by November 30th. Those that are paid after that date incur a $50 late fee.
Here is a schedule of the 2025 dues payment dates:
Wednesday, September 4th: Individual dues statements emailed
Thursday, October 31st: Last day to claim $25 discount
Saturday, November 30th: Last day to pay dues amount in emailed statement
Sunday, December 1st: $50 late fee applies
Wednesday, January 1st: New member application fee applies
If you have any questions about the process or when you receive your invoice,
please email Michelle Kohn.
Under the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, local associations can no longer include local lobbying expenses in the deductible portion of a member’s annual dues. Local lobbying expenses must now be added to the non-deductible dues amount, along with state and national dues. As a result, the GMAR calculated the nondeductible portion of your 2025 local Membership Dues as $1.00. This amount is in addition to the amounts stated on the WRA dues statement which specifies the non-deductibility of WRA and NAR dues.

Hello Valued REALTOR® Members,
The November 2024 elections are fast approaching and there are many important races from the top of the ticket on down that will impact the real estate industry, property owners, small business owners, and the overall economy for years to come. Regardless of which political party you most identify with, we ask you to keep the REALTOR® party in mind. There is no better example of the power of the REALTOR® trademark than when individual members step forward to support candidates with their votes and their personal contributions.
Over the next few months, candidates running for office at the national and state levels may approach you, asking for a financial contribution If you are so inclined, please consider contributing to them through the WRA Direct Giver Program. It is the only state-sponsored program in the country that allows members the option to contribute to candidates of their choosing and timing while emphasizing that they are a REALTOR®.
It couldn’t be easier to participate. WRA takes payments of $100 or more and puts them into your very own account where you have complete control- you say who, you say when, you say how much. Whomever you direct money to, it is an individual contribution, the same as if you write out a personal check to them. (You just don’t have to find an envelope, find the mailing address, pay for postage – we take care of that!) The difference? The check also says you are a REALTOR®.
If you have any questions, please contact me at 414.778.4929 or marne@gmar.com.
