Democratic National Convention


The City of Chicago OEMC (Office of Emergency Management and Communications) is seeking feedback regarding the DNC experience.


This is an opportunity for transportation operators to share feedback regarding communications, traffic management, public safety, etc.


The ILLBA will collect and compile the comments on behalf of our members. Please submit your feedback to the ILLBA office (info@illba.org) no later than Wednesday October 9th.


We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to share your event experience with City officials.

NLA Association Grant Awarded to ILLBA


The NLA's Association Grant Program is an initiative that assists member associations with funding to support initiatives and programs that align with the Association's goals and values.


ILLBA is pleased to announce that we have been awarded an $8,000.00 grant from the NLA Association Grant Program.

The Chicago Marathon Puts The City In The Global Sports Spotlight

In the world of Chicago athletics, there may be no event that plants the city so firmly on the international stage as the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. 

A year ago, the Chicago Marathon logged more than 48,000 finishers, ranking it just behind New York and London as one of the world’s three biggest long-distance venues as measured by volume of participation. Organizer Carey Pinkowski, who carries the title of executive race director, is forecasting that the Chicago Marathon slated for Oct. 13 this year will smash last year’s turnout and go past the 50,000-runner milestone, perhaps bringing it even with New York's and London’s numbers.

CBP Raises Fees For Global Entry and Other Trusted Traveler Programs



U.S. Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) previously announced fee changes to the Global Entry, NEXUS and SENTRI trusted traveler programs officially went into effect on Tuesday,

October 1.

Low-risk travelers applying for the expedited screening programs can now expect to pay $120. The cost of Global Entry was previously $100 while NEXUS was just $50.
