What's Cool in Our Schools

Latinos in Action Mentor and Encourage Elementary Students

Latinos in Action (LIA) empowers Hispanic students through community service, leadership, and education with the ultimate goal of pursuing college degrees and/or successful careers.

Our LIA students at Lake May High School have partnered with the students who are learning to speak English from Wicklow Elementary by providing mentorship and tutorial sessions to help them in their skills.

Our students love the interaction and support they receive from one another. Way to go LIA of Lake Mary High!

Longwood Elementary Students Discover that Learning Can be Electric

The 5th graders at Longwood Elementary had a great time exploring concepts of electricity on the Physics Bus.

The look on their faces when they are learning in a hands-on and unique way is priceless! This is what engaging students looks like in action!
