A Note From Sean Maguire ’89, P’22, P’23 | |

I’m sure you can remember the feeling of a crisp fall day with a vibrant blanket of fall colors surrounding the Forman campus this time of the year, whether walking to your dorm or down to the fields for practice. No matter where you are from or how many years you attended Forman, this is a memory we all have in common. This holds true today as you walk across campus––you can feel the strong sense of community that continues to provide our students with belonging and the freedom to thrive. We hope to connect with you and see you at events this year!

Learning Differences Awareness Month Students Spotlights | |
|
Lorca Danziger ’24 has dyslexia and joined Forman School last year as a sophomore. Lorca says he likes the level of responsibility he is given as a Forman student, such as having expectations to complete homework and get to commitments on time.
“At other schools, I feel like they would oversee you,” he says. “But [at Forman], they take every kid into consideration. The amount they help is not excessive. They don’t do everything for us. It’s more of a guide.”

Maddie Smok ’23, who has dyslexia and ADHD, started Forman for her junior year after attending the Summer Program.
“When I came to Forman, they taught to how I learn. It’s so nice because sometimes I forget I have a learning difference,” Maddie says. “I’m doing very well in my classes, I’m getting all the support I need, and it’s everything I want.”

Students attended the Club Fair last week! Club leaders promoted their clubs, answered questions, and encouraged new members to join. There are more than 20 clubs this year, including Archeology Club, Fishing Club, Philosophy Club, Jewish Culture Club, and Swifties United: Taylor Swift Club. Learn more here.
