As we navigate through our roles as HR professionals, we must always strive to create inclusive workplaces where every individual feels valued and supported. This means championing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging at every level of our organizations and taking action to address bias and discrimination wherever it exists.

We must also embrace change and innovation, constantly seeking out new ideas and best practices to improve the employee experience and drive success. Whether it’s implementing new technology, revamping performance management systems, or developing new talent management strategies, we must be bold and visionary in our approach to HR.

But perhaps most importantly, we must never lose sight of our ultimate goal of creating workplaces where people can thrive, grow, and achieve their full potential. This means fostering a culture of learning and development, providing opportunities for career growth and advancement, and recognizing and rewarding excellence at every turn.

As HR professionals, we have the power to transform organizations and impact the lives of countless individuals. So let us lead with passion, purpose, and a deep commitment to making a difference in the world of work. Together we can create workplaces that are truly great for our employees, our companies, and our communities.

HR is not about HR, it’s about the people we serve. Let us never forget that and let us always strive to serve with excellence.

NEW Monthly Meetings with the Career Journey SIG

NYC SHRM's Career Journey SIG will be starting NEW Monthly Roundtable Meetings on the second Tuesday of each month from 9:00am - 10:00am.

The roundtable Career Journey SIG meetings are open to all NYC SHRM members who are in transition, in a job search, or want to be prepared for future career opportunities.

The monthly meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month from 9:00am - 10:00am, with the first being on Tuesday, April 11th, at 9:00am.
