The 2022 Pie Social is almost here!
Join us after the Thanksgiving Eve service for some coffee and delicious pie! Please sign up to bring a pie on the sign up located on the gathering area bulletin board. The more the merrier! We would love any assistance with set up and clean up as well. Any questions or to help please contact Brittany Lobner or Tina Arnold."

Grace will again be collecting canned goods to donate to Family Sharing’s Food Pantry during the Thanksgiving Service on Wednesday, November 23. Donations will be made during the service. If you cannot attend on the 23rd and still wish to donate, you can drop off any canned goods in the office before.
We are very excited to partner with All People’s Church again this year to help provide Christmas meals. We are planning on ordering turkeys again this year and are in need of donations for those turkeys. If you are able to help, please send or drop off a check made out to Grace before Dec. 10th. Make sure you put “turkeys” in the memo line. If you like to do electronic donation the Donate now button below will take you to Graces online donation page. Thank you so much Grace for your generosity.

Please watch Grace Notes and email for more information on how you can support this amazing mission at All People’s Church.
Order Your Poinsettias Now
You may order a poinsettia plant which will be placed in the worship center for the Christmas season. If you desire to give a plant in memory or honor of a loved one, the name of those loved ones will be shown on the screen at our Christmas services. You can sign-up at HERE
and pay online or an order sheet is on the bulletin board in the gathering space. The cost of each plant is $10.00. If not paying online payment envelopes are provided. Make checks payable to Grace Lutheran Church.  The last day to order is November 27th
Celebrate Jesus’ birthday with a special one-time gift to reduce the debt on our building. Thanks to our finance team we have an excellent 3.35% loan on our $1.69 million building mortgage. However, that interest rate will adjust in March of 2026. We are wise to get ahead of that adjustment.
Christmas Gift Goal: $50,000
If we pay down our mortgage by $50,000, we will reduce our total interest by $79,400.

What if we raised $75,000? Total Interest saved: $119,000!

Can you help us match their generosity? Please submit your gift using the enclosed envelope by December 31, 2022. Gifts may be received in January in order to be tax deductible in 2023. Remember that your Christmas Gift should be a contribution over and above your regular offering.

Thank you for whatever amount you give. Thank you for your generosity!

REQUEST FROM BOB’S UNDER THE BRIDGE

Bob has requested that there is a great need for Men’s winter jackets in Large and Extra Large size. Please drop them off at church or at Bob’s Under the Bridge location. That location would be in Grafton at 2360 Dakota Dr. Monday 4-6 p.m. or Thursday 5 – 7 p.m.
All Peoples Christmas Meals Donations Needed
Grace will be providing 50 meals to All Peoples Church this holiday season. We are doing it a little different this year. There is a large board in the Gathering Space that has items that you can purchase for the meals.
The Youth Programs will then be packing the meals at a packing party.
Please take as many items as you want. Please pay close attention to the number of items that you need to purchase.
Items needs to be returned
by Dec. 16th

We also need to pay for our 50 Turkeys! If you would like to donate $100.00 towards the turkeys, please take of the turkey tabs on the board in the gathering space or email erica@gracegrafton.com. Even easier, just drop a check at church.

A message from Meg Boren
I have been blessed to serve our 9 rural villages in Nicaragua for 20 years.
Your gifts have been used to support this Christian outreach that has
changed so many lives and had transformational effect on our villages. It
has given hope, comfort, and God’s love to so many in need and I thank
you for making a difference in their lives. I am thankful for the spiritual,
cultural, and personal growth it has gifted to me personally, We are all
broken people, but the Good News is that God has amazing power of
transformation and wants to use us, as imperfect as we are, to be part of
that transformation! I feel incredibly blessed to live with His beloved poor
and learn from their abundance! I know that sounds strange, but it is their
abundance of faith, hope, and charity that is amazing and that we have had
the privilege of supporting in our work there. I have seen the power of God
do incredible things that defy understanding. These include opportunities
where none existed, healing of individuals, families, and communities, and
also empowerment to work for wanted change. We have seen the
development of strong leaders with compassion, love, and vision that I
believe are God given. I call those miracles, and yes they still exist!
I am so blessed to have had the privilege to serve!!!
Thank you and May God bless you all!
Meg

Crossways Camping Ministries
As the Grace Grafton member church delegates to Crossways Camping Ministries, we want you to know that there will be a special meeting of member church delegates on December 3rd at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Neenah. 2022 has brought some financial challenges to our camps due to the impact the pandemic has had on our camping ministries.

In order to help address these challenges, Crossways has been offered a $50,000 donation, if they are able to match that amount in donations from individual donors and congregational supporters. All donations made from October 1 through the end of 2022 to Crossways Camping Ministries will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to 50,000, by the Endowment Fund of the East Central Synod of Wisconsin- ELCA. Your gifts and those from the East Central Synod, will help support the important ministry work of Crossways Camping Ministries. Will you consider supporting this ministry that is so important to Grace and other member congregations?

As of November 7, Donations to Crossways matching campaign totaled $42,756. Let's help Crossways unlock the full $50,000 matching gift and reach even higher. Keep the donations coming in by donating at www.crosswayscamps.org/donate.

Quilters Always Need Sheets Including Flannel
The word is out about the wonderful quilts we make. More and more organizations locally need our quilts, not just Lutheran World Relief. So please think of us as you attend rummage sales or mention to your friends when they are getting rid of sheets in useable condition. You all know the sizes – twin flat, full flat and fitted, queen flat and fitted, king flat and fitted in cotton or cotton blend and flannel. Please no microfiber or polyester.

Again, thank you for always responding to our requests. Remember the Grace Quilters when donating for memorials. We could not continue without your help, monetary or otherwise.
Schedule an Appointment with Pastor Greg!
Schedule an appointment to allow our interim Pastor to meet you. Plan to share your hopes and dreams for Grace in this time of transition. Typically these will be about 30-minute conversations held at church. If meeting off-site would be better, just let Greg know. If those date or times do not work, please contact Pastor Greg at pastor@gracegrafton.com to set up another time. Sign up HERE

If you have an questions or need help signing up, contact Arcelia at arcelia@gracegrafton.com or call 262.377.4770.
Habitat for Humanity Update

As the completion of the condo is just around the corner, there is a great need for donations to Habitat for Humanity-Ozaukee to continue their great work. Port Washington State Bank will match every donation up to a total to $10,000. We can make our donations this September through November.   See the Habitat for Humanity poster board for details.
