Easter Weekend at St. Michael's | |
Easter Sunday, March 31
6:30 AM Sunrise Service
8:00 AM Choral Eucharist
9:30 AM Egg Hunt
10:30 AM* Choral Eucharist
Easter Donuts all morning!
Come celebrate the Risen Christ with us! New this year, we will mark the empty tomb that greeted Mary at daybreak with a 6:30 AM Easter Sunrise Spoken Service.Then at 8:00 and 10:30 AM* we'll have our festive Eucharists with choir and brass at each service. Bring a bell to ring as we exclaim, "Alleluia!" The Egg Hunt will occur between the services for elementary aged children and younger. Meet in the Multipurpose Room at 9:30 AM. Middle and high schoolers are invited to help hide eggs at 8:00 AM. And finally, we'll continue our tradition of Easter donuts after all services!

Easter Vigil & Baptisms
Saturday, March 30, 7:00 PM
Come celebrate the risen Christ as we illuminate the darkness with a new fire, welcome the newly baptized into the Body of Christ, and enjoy Eucharist together. Join us in-person or online to begin our Easter celebration. Nursery provided.

Liturgy & Passion Reading, 2:00 PM: Good Friday Liturgy including a powerful Passion reading, sermon, and prayers. Join us in-person or online. Nursery provided.

Stations of the Cross, 3:00 PM: Meet in front of the church to walk with Rev. Matt around our campus visiting 14 stations to reflect on Jesus' final moments and journey to the cross.

Holy Saturday Service
Columbarium, 10:00 AM
Join for this simple, reflective service at the columbarium on the day Christ's body rested in the tomb. Please meet outside at the Columbarium, accessible via the ramp on the north side of the parking lot.

40 Days of Giving
Donations Due

We've had a tremendous response and appreciate all those who have already brought in 40 Days of Giving donations. Please drop off any remaining donations by noon this Sunday in the Parish Hall. No gift is too small for our neighbors in need!

Holy Week & Easter Gratitude!
A special thank you to our clergy, staff, and the countless volunteers who have helped us journey through Holy Week. Our Choirs, Musicians, Altar Guild, Flower Guild, IHN volunteers, Sexton, Vestry & Wardens, Ushers, Lay Readers, Acolytes, and Worship Volunteers have done a fabulous job. We are so grateful for the love, care, and attention given by so many! Thank you for being the best part of St. Michael's!

It's not an April Fool's joke....the clergy and staff need a well-deserved day off on Easter Monday, so the church office will be closed and resume normal hours on Tuesday at 9:00 AM.

Wednesday Bible Study
Welcoming New Members
Wednesday Morning Bible Study will resume next Wednesday, April 3 from 12:30 - 2:00 PM to begin the book of Acts. Middle School Lock-in
Overnight, April 5 - 6
Middle Schoolers are invited to spend the night at St. Michael's! They will eat dinner, play games throughout the church, watch a movie, and hopefully get some sleep as well! Drop off kiddos with sleeping bags in hand at 6:00 PM Friday night and retrieve them pancake-filled at 9:00 AM on Saturday.

Nursery Families Brunch
April 14, 12:00 PM
Families with children in the nursery (ages 0-5) are invited to join for a fellowship brunch on April 14 after the 10:30 AM service. We have seen a large influx of young families in the past year, and we would love to get you all connected while your little ones play their hearts out in the nursery. We will have brunch for your children as well with a menu of items suitable for toddlers and older. The Space Between Us Mini-Retreat
April 19, 4:00 - 8:00 PM & April 20, 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Space Between Us is a workshop that dives into the foundational communication topics of empathetic listening and conflict resolution, and provides strategies to better understand ourselves and others. This weekend mini-retreat will be led by Owen Copps and is for all ages. It is limited to 15, and registration closes Friday, April 12, so click below to learn more and sign up before all the spots are filled.

Children & Youth Sunday

Our Spring Children & Youth Sunday, highlighting our talented young people at St. Mike's, is right around the corner. Senior, Allie Holcombe, will be the guest preacher at both the 8:00 and 10:30 AM services. Children & Youth Minister, Owen Copps, will lead the Sunday Forum for all ages from 9:15 - 10:10 AM. Amalia would still love to hear from children and youth wanting to share their musical talents. And finally, we would love for our young people to serve in all the worship volunteer roles, from acolyte, to usher, to coffee hour host. Please click below to sign up.

New to St. Michael's? You are invited to our special Newcomer Lunch with the clergy, staff, and other newcomers following the 10:30 AM service from 12:00-1:00 PM on Sunday, April 21. If you have never been able to make a newcomer luncheon before, we'd love to have you. You don't need to have joined St. Mike's to attend. Great American Cleanup

High School Spring Retreat

The Youth Council has planned an epic Spring High School Retreat weekend that will consist of a deep dive into the practices of centering and contemplative prayer, excursions like snow tubing & cross-country skiing, and cozy rest time in a private lodge at YMCA of the Rockies Snow Mountain Ranch. We are beyond grateful for the full pews at St. Michael's each Sunday! With full pews comes a very full parking lot as well! As we make space for newcomers and guests, please park under the pine trees along Tudor Road if you're able. Also, please wear your name tags each Sunday. If you have requested one, please check the board in the hall outside the sanctuary to pick it up, and if you need a new one, contact Diane at diane@stmikeschurch.com. Thanks for continuing to make St. Mike's such a welcoming community!
