Happy New Year to our friends and supporters,
The big news at the CIM is that the South CIM handicapped accessible door is complete! We are thrilled to have the second phase of the renovations come to a close. The final steps to close out the entire Making Room for the Next Generation capital campaign are to decorate the entryway, and install CIM signs on the south wall of the Celtic Junction.
Congratulations to all of our students who performed at the six youth recitals and adult open mic in December. We were inspired by your tunes, songs and energy.
As Fall term winds down, we're looking ahead to Spring term classes, Éigse CIM, A Gaela Event (our annual fundraiser on February 24th) and St. Patrick's Day.
I hope you enjoyed some rest and relaxation during the holidays last week. Take care of yourselves, and I look forward to seeing you at Éigse and at the Youth Session at the Metronome Brewery on January 14th.

Éigse [eg-shuh] is an Irish word used for festivals celebrating traditional Irish arts and culture. It is in this spirit that we gather to raise funds for The Center for Irish Music, Minnesota's only traditional Irish music school, dedicated to handing down the tradition.

UPDATE ON NEW ENTRANCE CONSTRUCTION | |
As part of our Making Room for the Next Generation Expansion & Improvement project, the CIM is building a handicapped accessible entryway to our space, increasing access to our classrooms and the entire Celtic Junction building.
The ramped entrance is built and we're thrilled with the welcoming open feel, and the natural light shining through the lower lobby gathering space. Next steps include installing external signage, ADA signs pointing to the wheelchair lift and final interior decor.
In December, Norah and Kate spent a day hanging professional stage lights in the Scanlan Music Hall in time for Hannah Flowers' Holiday Concert.
We look forward to welcoming you through the new South CIM Door when Fall classes resume on Monday, January 8th.
