Hosted by our 8th Grade

4th-8th Grade Servers: Father will be training new servers on Tuesday, September 6th and a refresher class on September 8th and 15th after our 8:00 AM Mass. Please discuss this with your student. Permission to serve at Masses would have been signed off on in FACTS during enrollment. If this has changed or if you have questions, please notify your child's teacher. 

We are looking for cafeteria volunteers. If interested please email Andrea Summers at andreasummers933@gmail.com. 

The Central Missouri Honor Flight is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all of their sacrifices. The group transports our heroes from throughout Central Missouri to Washington D.C., to visit and reflect at their memorials at no cost to them. The Central Missouri Honor Flight is funded by donations from individuals, organizations and businesses. 

St. Peter Catholic School will be raising funds to help send veterans on the next Honor Flight with the purchase of a special spirit wear shirt. A portion of each shirt sold will be donated to the Central Missouri Honor Flight on Veterans Day. This spirit wear shirt is not just for St. Peter Catholic School families; please feel free to share the link with friends and family.  The order deadline is October 21st in hopes that shirts will be available to wear for Veterans Day, November 11th.

Scrip News:

Raise Days (previously called Thankscriping days) are coming up September 15^th and 16^th. They will offer special bonus rebates for certain cards on those days. Do some early Christmas shopping and save a little more towards your tuition for next year. 

Other Fundraising news:

 The Fall Gifts fundraiser ends Friday September 9, 2022. Please have all orders turned in Friday with your checks made payable to St. Peters.

The next fundraiser is the Braided Bread. It will begin September 23^rd. 

I know it seems like we have a lot of fundraisers, but don’t forget the Fundraisers here at St. Peter’s all go towards the family. You can participate in as many of them as you want to.  We try to offer a wide variety of items that might interest you to sell to your friends and family.

A successful candidate is a practicing Catholic in good standing who can minister to students regardless of subject area or a teacher who, consistent with the Mission of St Peter School, promotes and teaches the Catholic faith as reasonably determined by the principal. St. Peter Church has entered the mobile age with a new app designed just for St. Peter Parish! The app works on iPhones or Android phones.

You can download the link by scanning the QR code.

This new app will allow you to access your profile, ministry groups, upcoming events, make donations online or pay for Mass intentions, candles, etc. You will be able to keep track of your giving, see your giving history at a glance, and make changes.

You will also be able to update your contact information yourself. You will no longer have to call the Parish Office to have your email, phone or address updated when a change occurs.

We are very excited to launch this new method to keep you up-to-date with St. Peter Parish. As you utilize the new app, we ask that you send suggestions, comments and questions to our Communications Director, Kathleen Lavery at communications@saintpeterjc.org.

An ACTIVE Parishioner:

• Is registered in the parish
• Regularly participates in Mass and the Sacraments
• Sacrificially tithing to the parish
• Is involved in parish activities and ministries as noted on the annual Parish Stewardship Commitment of Time, Talent and Treasure form

This year’s “God Is Peace” spirit shirts are now on sale for $5.00. If your child would like an extra one, or if the adults in your family would like one (or a few!), send a note to the school office including your name, preferred size, and include cash or a check made out to St. Peter Home & School. Shirts ordered will be sent home with your student.

I am so excited to announce this year's fall musical will be the one and only Lion King! Our show will be opening on October 21, 2021 and be closing on October 22, 2022. I hope to see all of you at auditions, which will be held on May 5 right after school in the music room until 5:00, and call backs on May 6. Same times and place. I cant wait to see you there!
