THAT’S IT FOR 2022!

I want to wish you the best for 2023! I hope it is filled with joy for you and your loved ones and justice, kindness, and peace in the world. Please take some time to figure out what you are going to do in the new year to take care of yourself as you do this incredibly challenging work. I’ve been in workforce development for over 50 years, and I have never seen so many challenges come our way. There is an old saying, “You can’t water flowers using an empty glass.” Many times, I think we are like gardeners helping people grow to their fullest extent in the world of work. But you can only help those flowers blossom if there is water in your glass. 
 
The goal of this work is not to work as hard as you can. If you take that approach, you will be able to help some people but not for long. The goal is to be able to do the work as well as you can for as long as you can. If you take care of yourself as you take care of others, you will be able to help more people for a much longer period of time.
