Florida-breds Federal Judge and Comedy Town Competing for Breeders' Cup Sprint Invitation in Keeneland's Phoenix

A fees-paid “Win and You’re In” invitation to the Grade 1 Cygames Breeders’ Cup Sprint is on the line for Florida-breds Federal Judge and Comedy Town in the Grade 2 Stoll Keenon Ogden Phoenix on opening day at Keeneland Race Course Friday. Both bring last-out victories into the six-furlong contest that offers a $350,000 purse for the eight 3-year-olds and older.

West Nile Virus Confirmed in Marion County

According to the Equine Disease Communication Center and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, a Paso Fino stallion at a private facility in Marion County, Fla., has tested positive for West Nile. According to the EDCC alert, an unknown number of other horses have been exposed at the facility.
