Coming Up: Connections - Women's Philanthropy presents Nefesh Mountain
Attention all friends and sponsors of the Sacramento Jewish Film Festival!

We are excited to announce that we are unveiling our new matrix of sponsorship benefits for our 2023 film festival. We invite supporters who wish to make a financial contribution to the 24th Annual Sacramento Jewish Film Festival to go online and select your level of financial support.

This year we are offering an Anti-inflation special, and all prices are frozen at last year’s levels. We are offering seven levels of sponsorships so please see the benefits for each of those levels. We welcome all financial support but obviously the more you can donate, the more we have to continue to improve our event. Where does your financial support go? We are making important improvements to our website to make it easier for virtual viewing. We are having three in-person events this year and many films and some conversations with actors and filmmakers. Opening night will feature a reception at Sampino’s at Joe Marty’s on March 1 and three different films.

If you wish to make a pledge to support now, simply call the Federation office at (916) 486-0906 and send your donation in later.

“This series about ‘new’ Jews will likely enlighten, entertain, annoy, and offend viewers in different ways, but it does present a varied and interesting portrait of American-Jewish life.”
Hannah Brown, The Jerusalem Post

“In a genre that tends to be disgustingly didactic, ‘The New Jew’ adheres to standards: it's curious, inquisitive, well-edited, and enjoys the comic resourcefulness of Alfi.”
Einav Schiff, Yediot Aharonot

“Guri Alfi sets out to understand American Jews with lots of good intentions. He is funny, honest, and his chemistry with the people around him is magical - which in itself makes the ‘new Jew’ fun to watch.”
Nadav Manuchin, Walla
The Fabelmans is coming to the Tower Theatre on November 23

Directed by Steven Spielberg, The Fabelmans is written by Spielberg and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner (Angels in America, Caroline, or Change). Young Sammy Fabelman falls in love with movies after his parents take him to see "The Greatest Show on Earth." Armed with a camera, Sammy starts to make his own films at home, much to the delight of his supportive mother. The film stars Gabriel LaBelle (The Predator, American Gigolo series) as 16-year-old aspiring filmmaker Sammy Fabelman; four-time Academy Award® nominee Michelle Williams (Manchester by the Sea, My Week with Marilyn) as his artistic mother, Mitzi; Paul Dano (The Batman, There Will Be Blood) as his successful, scientific father, Burt; Seth Rogen (Steve Jobs, An American Pickle) as Bennie Loewy, Burt’s best friend and honorary “uncle” to the Fabelman children, and Academy Award® nominee Judd Hirsch (Uncut Gems, Ordinary People) as Mitzi’s Uncle Boris.

The Film Festival wasn’t able to obtain discount tickets, but Angelika Membership is free and entitles members to 50% discounts on all films at the Tower Theatre as well as other perks. For more details and to sign up, click here
