🌸 Join us at the Spring Festival on Saturday, April 20, 2024

Spring is here, and we're excited to invite you to a day filled with fun, friendship, and discovery at the Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary Spring Festival. Get ready for a variety of games with prizes, including a turkey naming contest for our beautiful new resident, pictured below! There will also be delicious food from local trucks, craft vendors, and much more. Mark your calendars and join us for a celebration of community and nature!

💖 A huge thank you to volunteers and donors

This month has been a testament to the incredible support we receive from our community.

🎉 Giovani from Silver State Power Wash and Jay from Hot Mess Junk Removal helped with removing our compost pile. Their service has made a significant difference in our sanctuary's cleanliness and safety.

♿ Silver State Power Wash also generously added striping in our parking lot, enhancing the accessibility and orderliness of our space.

🎨 Our devoted volunteers Bill and Mary have continued to add vibrant touches to the sanctuary by painting benches, tables, and more. This month, they beautifully refreshed the exterior of our guest bathroom, brightening the space for all our visitors.

🐢 Noah from Troop 678 built an enclosure for Churchill, one of our 6 sulcata tortoises. This project will help Noah earn his Eagle Scout badge.

🛖 Alan, from Eagle Scout Troop 678, built 2 new shelters for our ostrich, Andrew, and emu, Lemu.
