The conference provides an opportunity to hear speakers from a wide range of disciplines discuss the state of fair housing and civil rights in America today and share their ideas on how to effectuate change on both a local and national level. Massachusetts recently launched the new Behavioral Health Help Line and established 25 Community Behavioral Health Centers, as part of the Roadmap for Behavioral Health Reform. The goal is to increase access to mental health and substance treatment for people across Massachusetts and offer insurance-blind behavioral health crisis services to anyone in the state. New Behavioral Health Roadmap Toolkit from Mass.gov. Employment Training


In partnership with the non-profit organization neba, Cooley Dickinson has launched a program that will provide employment training to young adults with disabilities. Project SEARCH offers participants internships in a variety of the hospital’s departments. Cooley Dickinson is the first hospital to lead a Project SEARCH program in western MA. INFO

Personal Care Items Drive


During the month of March, the Hadley and Northampton branches of the UMassFive College Federal Credit Union are holding a Personal Care Items Drive to benefit the pantries of the Amherst Survival Center, Northampton Survival Center, and The Gray House. Items collected will be provided, for free, to our neighbors in need. INFO
