Dear Saint Mark Family,

I pray you are experiencing a most blessed and wonderful Christmastide.

Many of you I know are traveling. Some of you had shared that you were going to visit family in areas outside of metro Atlanta, and some of you were going to other states across the country. (The holidays tend to remind us of our need for family - to be with our village, whatever that village may look like.) Some of you also shared that you were traveling overseas, taking that long overdue trip you had wanted to do.

Whether you traveled within or outside the state, or overseas, I pray you had, and are having, a wonderful and joy-filled time. I know the hope and joy of the season sometimes seem distant because of life circumstances, but whatever the situation may be hold fast to the truth that the love of God came down for you.

Next week, we look forward to welcoming Rev. Andy Peabody, as he joins our staff. Rev. Andy will be a great addition to the team, and we are excited to have him at Saint Mark. As you see Rev. Andy in the coming days and weeks, please take the time to welcome him and let him experience our Saint Mark hospitality.

This Sunday, there will be only one service at 10:00 AM in the sanctuary. If you are unable to join in person, I invite you to join online, and let us worship God together.

We are coming to the end of the year, and I encourage you to close out the year strong by fulfilling your financial commitment and go ahead and make your commitment for the 2024 ministry year.

Thank you, Saint Mark, for all you have done, and for the ways you have given throughout the year to make the vital ministries of our church possible. May God continue to bless you to be a blessing.

God’s grace and peace,

Pastor Carolyn.
