Exciting news! One of our recent NextForce partnerships with Star Central Learning Center took the spotlight at the 2024 National Association of Workforce Boards The Forum Conference in Washington D.C. last week.
NextForce Reel Impact, an initiative bridging workforce and creativity in filmmaking futures, got picked to present. And get this – out of a whopping 175 proposals (the largest in the Forum’s history), our team made the cut! Why? Well, it’s all about our unique program and it's hands-on learning style, real-life experiences, and collective guidance from film and PR pros. Plus, they're not just making movies – they're developing skills and crafting powerful PSAs for WSB.
To really embody the spirit of NextForce, we invited one of our film students, Glenda Urena, a senior at Eastlake High School, to join us. She was the sole youth participant, and not only did she help us present, but she also demonstrated the skills she's gaining through our program by conducting on-camera interviews and creating her own recap video of NAWB. This video is set to be featured in their newsletter and on their website. How awesome is that?
