President's Message

It’s Fall, Y’all!

Football is back, the weather is getting cooler, and I can smell those Texas State Fair corny dogs around the corner.

Earlier this month, our chapter took advantage of the great weather and headed to the golf course for the Women on Course Golf Clinic. Attendees learned some fantastic tips on their swings, then enjoyed refreshments and some networking afterward. A big thanks to Doug at Hackberry Country Club for sharing his expertise and getting us ready for golf tournament season in North Texas.

We're also hosting our second professional development event of the year, featuring North Texas SMPS President Matt Stephenson. He plans to share his knowledge on managing not only direct reports but all aspects of life for success. There is still time to sign up if you haven't already! Thanks to Archer Western for hosting this event.

Next month, our annual golf tournament is here! This is one of our largest fundraisers of the year, providing scholarships for the next generation of female leaders in the transportation industry. There are only a few foursomes and sponsorship opportunities left, so be sure to sign up in this newsletter if you haven’t already!

As always, thanks to all of our sponsors, members, and the North Texas community for your support. We couldn’t do any of this without you.
