Feature of the Month: Adjustable Conveyor

Recently, MRSI has enhanced our standard conveyor to be even more flexible to support each customer’s unique needs. Our optional adjustable conveyor allows an operator to easily change the conveyor width down to 3” or all the way up to 10”. There is nothing to be unscrewed with this option, simply turn the knob to the desired width and set it with a switch. Flexibility is maximized while downtime is minimized.

In-line conveying is one of three modes of operation the MRSI-705 supports when it comes to product presentation. (Additionally, standalone mode or cassette-to-cassette load/unload are available.) The system’s conveyor readily handles boats, fixture trays, lead frames and boards. The MRSI-705 offers heavy parts-handling capability and excellent co-planarity for large die assembly. Easily integrated into automated production lines, in-line conveying allows for greater machine autonomy, translating into a workload reduction and less setup downtime. Existing customer tooling, used upstream and or downstream from the assembly step, can be adapted; allowing streamlined product handling strategies to be implemented. Less product transfer means fewer operations, lower handling defect rates and improved cycle time.
