Managing People Classes are Getting a Facelift
The Managing People workshops have been a part of the Roads Scholar program for many years.  They have always been separate courses and did not have to be taken in order.  We thought it would be beneficial to our customers to update the course names to better explain what information is covered in each workshop. The 2017 Training Calendar will show the Managing People courses with their new titles.
  • Understanding the Differences in People (previously Managing People I)
  • Using Motivation and Discipline to Manage Successfully (previously Managing People II)
  • Time Management and Conflict Resolution (previously Managing People III)
  • Working and Communicating as a Team (previously Managing People IV)
  • Handling Harassment and Violence in the Workplace (previously Managing People V)
  • Handling Leadership Responsibilities (previously Managing People VI)
For those who have taken Managing People courses, they will still be valid for the Roads Scholar program for five years from the date you took the workshop.  You do not need to retake the courses since the course content has not changed... only the name.

For additional information about this change, contact Jen Smith at [email protected] or visit us online at www.kyt2.com.
On-Demand Training is Always an Option
On-demand trainings are presented to provide low-cost training to agencies.  The Technology Transfer Program supplies the training materials and the instructor.  The agency provides the participants, meeting room, AV equipment, and on-site staff assistance.  Normal class size is no less than 15 or more than 40 participants.

On-demand training is available for most of the T2 courses including Roads Scholar and Road Master, and Work Zone Traffic Control Employee Qualification.  We also offer specialized training such as Chainsaw, Gradall Operator, and Tractor Mower.

For additional information about these trainings or to scheduled an on-demand training date, contact us at 800-432-0719.
If you attended a T2 event in October, your photo may be included in our Flickr album.   Check now!
TC3 Training Available

TC3 is a  technical service program with AASHTO that focuses on developing training products for technical staff in the areas of construction, maintenance, and materials.

TC3 web-based trainings are FREE for employees of state DOTs that contribute annually to the TC3 technical service program.

This course gives participants the knowledge they need to determine if the base or subbase must be stabilized or repaired, to select the appropriate stabilization and repair methods for a given project, and to ensure the repair is performed properly.

This course provides information on the purpose, function, and components of roadway drainage systems.

For a list of additional courses or to register online, visit them online at  https://training.transportation.org/browse_bookstore.aspx.
