Association Updates & Upcoming Events

We recently received the below question from a member and GNJMA reached out to the NJ Motor Vehicle Commission for clarification.

Q: Does a driver who has a permit with a road test need to complete the 10 videos and the road test prior to taking the road test? Or do they need it before they can put it on their license?

A: Applicants will need to complete both Theory Instruction ELDT requirements and Behind The Wheel ELDT requirements prior to taking their NJMVC Road Test. Our road test staff will check the database prior to each applicants skills test to ensure FMSCA Entry Level Driver Training requirements have been met, if the requirements are not met the applicant will be denied the road test until ELDT is completed.
