LAB EXPERIMENTS

December 1, 2022

Jewish education happens beyond the JLL in fun and meaningful ways.

Jewish life unfolds in arts and culture, community celebrations, nature, caring for the vulnerable, praying with our families, and in many other unexpected ways and places.

Lab experiments enrich our students' understanding of the Jewish community and the Jewish world. The beauty of an experiment is that we don't always know what the outcome will be. But we never know the possibilities unless we try!

That is why, at the beginning of each month, the JLL will publish a list of "Lab Experiments," ways for your family to stretch your understanding of Jewish learning beyond the JLL classroom. Although we won't be tracking participation, we expect each family to do at least one experiment per month*.

Tzedek Box!

Get into a habit of doing justice.

Tzedek is from the Hebrew root צ.ד.ק. meaning “righteousness.” The Tzedek Box serves as a visible reminder to improve our society and seek righteousness, fairness, and justice in the world.  Whenever your family participates in an act of tzedek, take a moment to reflect upon your experience by recording your deed(s) and placing your reflection in the Tzedek Box!
