Don’t Forget to Vote! RA Election Now Open

It’s time to cast your ballot in our annual Board of Directors Election. Four seats are currently open on the Board; be sure you have the latest information by reviewing the candidate statements and/or watching the recent Candidates’ Forum for the South Lakes and At-Large seats or the Candidates’ Forum for the Category B/Apartment Owners seat.

The Board is tasked with guiding the policies and procedures for the Association, approving the annual budget and assessment, and helping to ensure Reston remains a unique and welcoming community. The election process is overseen by the Elections Committee and the balloting is done by an independent firm. All ballots must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1. Results will be announced at the Annual Members’ Meeting on April 9.

Spring is Here – Get Your Recreation Passes

Springtime is here, and that means it’s time to start thinking about getting outside. Whether that means taking a stroll on any of RA’s pathways and trails, enjoying any of our 15 pools, or joining friends for some tennis or pickleball, it’s all possible for RA members with a Recreation Pass. This year, the Board of Directors voted to include passes for ALL RA members in the annual assessment, which means you and your family can take advantage of all of RA’s recreational amenities at no extra cost. Renters within RA can take advantage of this new offer as well with proof of residency. Activate your passes now and be ready for a wonderful 2024 season.

All RA members are invited to attend the Annual Members’ Meeting, where the results of the annual election are announced and members have the chance to not only hear reports on the state of the Association but also share their comments with the Board. This year’s meeting will take place in person only. It will also be live-streamed on YouTube.

Heavy hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be provided.

RA Board of Directors Announces Results of Referendum

The Reston Association Board of Directors announced at its special meeting on March 13 that as a 2/3 affirmative majority of eligible voters was not achieved in the recent referendum, SectionVI.2(b)(15), Air Conditioning Units of the Reston Deed remains in effect. Learn more.
