When I was elected as your County Commissioner I committed to representing your interests - the people's interests. Since then, I have consistently fought for doing what is right and not what is easy or expedient. For this reason, I will not approve further development in any area of the County that does not already have the infrastructure to serve the needs of new residents, protect the residents already in place and regulate traffic patterns within existing roadways. As your former State Senator, I am aware that many of our major highways are State Roads that are regulated by the Florida Department of Transportation. While in Tallahassee, I invited our Secretary of Transportation to travel to Palm Beach County. He will be here to address our transportation issues directly with our residents.  He will also confer with County Engineers and Engineering students from FAU and Palm Beach State College. This is the way development should be, from the bottom up, with a healthy infrastructure in place to handle smart growth for all the residents of today and tomorrow.

Your County Commissioner,
-Maria Sachs-

THE SECRETARY OF THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
COMING TO PALM BEACH COUNTY
As promised, the Secretary of the Florida Department of Transportation is coming to our county to meet with County Engineers, community leaders. and members of the public. There are many issues that affect traffic in our area and now is the time to present these issues directly with the Secretary of the Florida Department of Transportation.

Spotlight 🔦
Pamela Higer-Polani

There is a certain responsibility that comes with the practice of law. I wanted to highlight an attorney who has not only fulfilled her civic responsibility as an attorney to represent her clients fairly but has taken on the duty of working for a nonprofit toward the betterment of the whole. In the past few years, Pamela Higer-Polani has been recognized as a Woman of Distinction, a Leader in Law, and a Volunteer of the Year. She personifies all that is best, working as a compassionate attorney, the promoter for non-profits, and as wife/mother/daughter.
PAMELA, you are our shining star!
