SCENES FROM A RECEPTION

Last Sunday we expressed our thanks to Pastor Bruce Sayre and Pastor Bob Stillwell and their wives, Ann and Marian, for leading Saint Mark this summer while Pastor Todd Davis was on spiritual renewal leave. They have truly been a blessing to our congregation. We can't thank them enough, but cake always helps! Click here to see more photos from the event.

A WORD OF THANKS FROM THE SAYRES

Dear Friends,

It's hard for Ann and me to believe our time with you is at the end. What a unique and blessed interim this has been for us in your midst. Thank you, thank you for all your kindness and grace – and your ongoing prayerful encouragement. We have been gifted by your acquaintances and friendship and are already anticipating when we will return for a visit. I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing how all the plans that were in process over the summer are now falling into place and succeeding!

What a privilege and enjoyment it has been to work with your church staff and key leadership – a staff and lay leadership every pastor prays for – and to enter with them in the daily/weekly processes of congregational care. With you, we are looking forward to Todd's return and taking-up once again the mantle of his duties and leadership among you.

Our most cordial regards to you all and our continued prayers for SMUMC.

A big thank you to Basil, Joyce, and Emily Carney, who recently decorated this wall across from Maria Bowers' office, en route to the Youth Center. "Mission Possible" is this year's Family Ministry theme based on Philippians 4:13. The wall outlines this year's study program for Children and Youth. The star will be moved to the current study each month!
