Preventive Controls for Human Food (PCHF) Curriculum Update Work Group
In December, the PCHF Curriculum Update Work Group met in person to do a complete review of the updated Curriculum V2.0 PCHF chapter slide decks. The Work Group’s recommendations were collected and changes made. The updated chapter slide decks are now undergoing final editing. The participant manual text is also being updated as part of this process and is being finalized in tandem with the chapter slide decks. A separate PCHF V2.0 Implementation Work Group will be laying out plans to pilot the curriculum in the coming months.

FSPCA PCHF V2.0 Curriculum Implementation Work Group Established
A PCHF V2.0 Curriculum Implementation Work Group has been formed and is planning FSPCA activities to implement the updated PCHF curriculum V2.0. Among the Work Group’s tasks are planning the logistics for upcoming course walkthroughs, face-to-face and virtual pilot courses, and Lead Instructor “Refresher” courses. The Work Group is also tasked with identifying policies and procedures needed to roll out the updated curriculum. FSPCA plans to reprogram systems to reflect the new policies and procedures, including the Lead Instructor Application System, Course Registration System, and the Learning Management System. Bookstore changes are also planned.
Timing of redevelopment efforts are being set for the “Refresher” course for existing Lead Instructors, updating the Blended Participant Course, and the Lead Instructor course for new Lead Instructors along with translations of the course materials, e.g., Spanish.
