Upcoming Events & News

Baptism: You are invited to the baptism of Sarah Stair, officiated by Rev. Karen Cherwien this Sunday, September 22nd at 2 pm at Stalker’s pool (255 Cedarwood Dr).


You’re Invited: First Presbyterian Church will be making crochet plastic bag sleeping mats for the homeless by using Walmart bags. You are invited to come out every Monday at 10am in the Fellowship Hall at FPC; no need to bring supplies as they will be provided. Brenda Bittle will deliver these to those in need. If you’re interested in some insight as to how these are made, you can find a video on YouTube titled How To Make Plastic Bag Sleeping Mats (Where You Live).

  • Coffee Hour: After the service, everyone is invited to the Parish House (two lefts at the bottom of the steps) for refreshments and fellowship
  • Children’s Sunday School: Sunday, September 22ndat 9:45 am
  • Choral Evensong: Sunday, September 22nd, at 5:00 pm
  • Churchmen’s Club Meeting: Tuesday, September 24th at 6:00 pm at Scott McSpadden’s home
  • Adult Sunday School: Sundays, 9:30 am in the Parish Hall
  • The Chosen Discussion Group: Every Friday 5:30-7 pm until the end of October in Anglican Hall; starting November 4th, the meeting will change to every Monday 5:30-7 pm

The Chosen Discussion Group: Tuesday’s Season 4 only viewing has been postponed until October 1st; it will be from 3-4:30pm every Tuesday for 8 weeks. For more information, please contact Jeraine Root.


Fun & Safe Halloween on Main Street: Spooky season is almost here! If you would like to contribute candy to be given out on Halloween, you can drop it off at the church office or it can be given to Brenda Bittle.


Altar Flowers: The following dates are available for flowers: October 20th & 27th, November 17th. Please contact Jo Cargill-Krug to reserve any of these dates.

Prayer requests will stay on the Parish Prayer List for four weeks with the exception of parishioners with ongoing needs. If you wish a prayer request to remain on the list, please call the office to renew the request.

Join Bishop Harmon for a collaborative conversation, a gathering aimed at celebrating and growing the ministry of the Episcopal Church in Arkansas. Attendees will reflect on their experiences, share stories, and express their hopes for the future. We look forward to a meaningful exchange of ideas and a renewed sense of community that will strengthen our life together.
