Note From the Team

We hope that you, your families and friends are safe and recovering from Hurricane Ian. In addition to all the destruction and hardships we each have suffered, our beloved Venice Theatre sustained major damage and all future events are on hold.

We join with others to support all those who need help even if it's a simple hug, smile and checking in on each other. Together, we will rebuild and come back even stronger.

As we move forward to rebuild our lives, homes and communities — supporting each other becomes even more important. Because of the impact of Hurricane Ian, we looked at our schedule of upcoming events and fortunately we can proceed with most of what we had planned for the last quarter of 2022. We guarantee—there is something for everyone! Some of the details are listed below, but for more information you can always visit our website.

Only with your support can we continue to sustain and expand our efforts. Our activities and events are completely funded by you—our partners, sponsors, vendors, allies, supporters, volunteers and community grants.

In September, (pre-Hurricane Ian), the Gulf Coast Community Foundation awarded Venice Pride, Inc. a community grant. We are extremely grateful to receive this grant. It makes it possible for us to continue to host activities and events for the LGBTQ+ community and allies in 2022 and beyond.

We acknowledge and extend a special thank you to the Gulf Coast Community Foundation for their ongoing confidence in our efforts and believing that we are making a positive impact for our community and allies.

During this time, reach out and stay connected as we rebuild. We are stronger together. Thank you. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing you soon.
