Baking and Pastry Classroom Spotlight
Baking and Pastry students participated in the Great Brownie Challenge, where they took a basic box of brownie mix and elevated it with their own recipe. Students created their recipe plans, discussed the elements of food presentation, and baked and plated their brownies for the judges to sample. The brownies were judged by taste, texture, appearance, creativity, and plating/garnishing. Check out the brownies the students made!
Baking and Pastry is a dual credit class with Triton College, where students earn high school and college credit simultaneously. This course corresponds to the Triton course Culinary Mathematics. Baking and Pastry was one of 8 new dual credit courses introduced to RB in the 23-24 school year.
