This is your opportunity to get involved! Redmond HS PTSA will be electing new board members for the 2024-2025 school year and we would love for you to join us.

Redmond High School PTSA Scholarships |
The Redmond High School PTSA is thrilled to announce scholarships worth $1,000 for deserving seniors in the class of 2024. Selection is based on various criteria, such as involvement in extracurricular and community service activities, academic excellence, motivation, future goals, as well as any unique life challenges.
To apply, candidates must complete the scholarship form, respond to short-answer questions, provide a copy of their high school transcript, and submit two letters of recommendation, with at least one coming from an RHS faculty member.
All materials can be submitted to scholarships@redmondhsptsa.org.

Spring Practice ACT (Online or In-person) Reminder |
Last Practice ACT test for this academic year is fast approaching!
These full-length practice tests, administered by Princeton Review, offer students the opportunity to practice test taking strategies and determine baseline scores prior to taking the official SAT and ACT college entrance exams. Scores are not reported to anyone other than the student.
Students are encouraged to sign up online at the earliest and can choose to take the practice test online or in-person. Online test version will offer accommodation for time and can be taken up to 4 weeks from test date.
Spring Practice ACT test (Online or In-person) - Saturday, March 16, 2024, 9am-12:30pm.
Deadline to register- Wednesday, March 13, 2024.

Spring Formal Dance Volunteers Needed |
Volunteers are needed to help make the Spring Formal a success! The dance will take place on Saturday, March 23. Please consider signing up assist with coatcheck, hand out and re-stock snacks, fill compostable water glasses (we're going green this year!), and supervise the game area.
Come for the first half, the last half, or stay and enjoy the entire event - we're happy to have you for as long as you can be here. If you would like to volunteer, please sign up here.

Volunteers Needed for WA State Junior Dance Championship | |
The WA State Junior Dance Championship will be held at Redmond High School on Saturday, March 16. This is the culminating event for Middle Level and Junior Varsity dance teams in the state. We are thrilled that our Mustang JV dancers qualified to compete in both Pom and Hip Hop divisions.
Many volunteers are needed ALL DAY to make the event a success. Adults are needed for cashier and door monitor slots. Students can help set up, guide teams, serve concessions, and much more - even earn service hours!

Tickets for Radium Girls On Sale Now! |
The RHS Drama Dept is pleased to bring you the true story of the Radium Girls from Thursday, March 28-Saturday, March 30. After the young women painting luminescent watch faces with radium in a factory fell ill with horrific and disfiguring diseases, young Grace Fryer took on the factory, and even her friends and family, to seek the truth about radium and obtain justice for the harms it caused.
Four shows:
Thursday, March 28 at 7pm
Friday, March 29 at 7pm
Saturday, March 30 at 2pm and 7pm
**The role of Grace is double-cast.
**The play contains some dark themes, including death.

Running Start Program Rep Visit |
The Running Start Program Rep Visit will take place on Friday, March 22, 12:00–1:00pm in the RHS College and Career Center.
Are you wondering which Running Start Program to enroll in this fall? Come to this event to meet reps from Bellevue College, Cascadia College, Lake Washington Institute of Technology and CWU Sammamish to learn about their Running Start Programs. This is an informal drop-in event during both lunches and sign-ups are not necessary.
NOTE: If you are planning to enroll in Running Start this fall, be sure to attend the REQUIRED Orientation Session on Wednesday, March 27 during HERD/Homeroom time in the Library.

Learn more about WANIC programs from current WANIC students, hear about their experiences and get your questions answered. This session will take place during HERD Support on Thursday, March 21.
Please note that WANIC Full-Year programs are designed for 11th and 12th grade students and many of the classes offer dual credits.

This is a field trip to participate in the UW Bothell College Planning Day. There will be sessions presented by various institutions and a college fair with over 20 WA colleges.
This dynamic half-day event is designed to equip you with the knowledge and confidence you need to navigate the college admissions process.

Here is a list of scholarships with upcoming deadlines. Many scholarships require Letters of Recommendation so it's important to ask for these early on. You can request a generic LOR for scholarships and use it for all the applications that require one. Scholarships are stackable and do not affect your federal/state aid so apply to as many as you are eligible for.
