Thomas Leighton Dashiell

As many of you know, especially those of you joining me on Friday mornings, my dear husband Tom has been battling health issues for well over a year. This past week his battle ended and he passed on to his heavenly reward. The family is mourning the loss of our patriarch but we are also cherishing all the love and precious memories.



I want to offer a sincere thank you for all the kindness and support during Tom's illness and since his passing. God's love is felt through the actions of those who care.

Republicans have contacted 90 million voters ahead of midterms

Less than a week out, and the Republican National Committee has officially made 90 million voter contacts, including making over one million voter contacts in 21 states.

The RNC has flooded battleground states with organizers – stemming from the Party’s multimillion dollar investment in a state of the art, data-driven ground game solely focused on growing our party and turning out voters.

“Under the leadership of Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, the Republican Party has built a massive ground game operation with over 1 million volunteers who have made over 90 million voter contacts. The RNC’s strategic investments – including 38 minority engagement community centers – have grown our party, harnessed Republican enthusiasm, and will deliver Republican victories up and down the ballot.” Said RNC Political Director Elliott Echols.

Early Indicators Point to Strong Republican Showing!

With 5 days until the election, there are 4,192,247 ballots cast in Texas. Currently, Republican returns exceed Democrat by 720,897.

Of the 4,192,247 ballots that have been cast in Texas by Modeled Party:

• GOP: 1,970,101 (47%)
• DEM: 1,249,204 (30%)
• Other: 972,942 (23%)

Of the 4,192,247 ballots that have been cast in Texas by Generic Congressional Ballot Scores status:

• GOP: 1,998,046 (48%)
• DEM: 1,510,383 (36%)
• Other: 683,818 (16%)

Compared to this point in previous elections:

• Current Margin: (+17%) 
• 2020: Net Margin (+9%) - at this point 9,051,349 votes had been cast, making up 80% of total votes
• At this point Republicans had cast 3,832,489 ballots, making up 81% of total votes
• At this point Democrats had cast 3,055,892 ballots, making up 85% of total votes
• At this point Independents had cast 2,162,968 ballots, making up 73% of total votes
• 2018: Net Margin (-4%) - at this point 4,707,705 votes had been cast, making up 56% of total votes
• At this point Republicans had cast 1,782,738 ballots, making up 58% of total votes
• At this point Democrats had cast 1,952,304 ballots, making up 59% of total votes
• At this point Independents had cast 972,663 ballots, making up 48% of total votes

Looking at voters ballot status in relation to their typical seven day voting period at 1 weeks out:

• Out of 1,469,646 possible consistent Republican voters, 746,158 (51%) have maintained consistent voting patterns and have cast a ballot, 723,488 (49%) are delinquent and have not cast a ballot.
• Out of 960,034 possible consistent Democrat voters, 425,899 (44%) have maintained consistent voting patterns and have cast a ballot, 534,135 (56%) are delinquent and have not cast a ballot.

When looking at who is doing a better job generating unexpected votes

• Republicans have generated 646,335 votes
• Democrats have generated 508,635 votes
