Miss Wendy's Fall Art Classes 2023

Introduce your child to the wonderful world of art! Fall Art Classes are now forming for children ages four years old through sixth grade. Each class teaches your child the elements of art and introduces children to drawing and many new mediums. Classes are small and personal attention is given to each child.

We teach that God is the Master Designer and all art and beauty from His creation is perfect and whole.

Why art lessons are important?

  • Children learn elements of art such as lines, shapes, texture, shadow, perspective and color!
  • Children develop "eyes" for art throuh observation in works of arts and in the real world!
  • Children delvelop fine motor skills,
  • Children learn about color, mixing colors and the color wheel.
  • Children are introduced to famous artists.
  • Art improves children's self esteem and feelings of accomplishment!
  • Art introduces children to different mediums such as sketch pencils, colored pencils, pastels, acrylic paint, water colors and more!
  • Art helps children relax and work though stress.
  • Group art lessons teach them to cheer each other on and see the beauty in each persons individual personality and art.
  • Art cultivates their creative side.
  • Art is just fun!

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What will the children be learning in the art class? The children will be using many different mediums as they explore the wonderful world of art. They will be learning the elements of art as well as directed drawing. They will learn to follow directions and will work on small motor skills. They will, develop "artist eyes" and notice art around them. We will have some art appreciation and look at some of the famour artist's work, and even be inspired to make some of their own art work based on the artist we study. We teach art from a Christian perspective.
  • What is the teacher student ratio in your class? We aim to keep our classes small so that each child gets the attention that they need. We have two assistants that help with the class, Charles and Bryton Silvey. Charles is Wendy's husband and Bryton is her son. Both are very experienced in art and in teaching children.
  • Do I need to register in advance? Yes, to reserve your child's spot in the class the registration/supply fee should be paid in full. Classes fill up fast, so it is best to reserve a spot as soon as possible. If classes are full, your child will be put on the waiting list, and we will let you know when a spot becomes available.
  • What if my child has to be absent? Each class builds on the other so regular attendance is encouraged however, if a child needs to be absent, we will do our best to catch them up. There are no makeup classes.
  • What is your refund policy? If the class is dropped prior to the first day of class, you will be refunded the class tuition minus the registration fee. (In event the class does not have enough students to make a class, you will be refunded your registration fee,)
  • When is the month tuition due, and how is payment made? Tuition of $50 is due the first class day of the month. You can put a check or cash (exact amount) in an envelope and give it to Charles the day of class. If you wish to pay via credit card or venmo.,  A convience fee is added to credit card payments via paypal. No fee for Venmo.
