Five Things to Know About Carinah Boyles

Carinah Boyles and husband holding their two kids

By Carinah Boyles- LPN to ADN Instructor

I was born and raised in Davidson County. I am pursuing my MSN in Nurse Education from UNCW with four classes to go! I am currently the newest instructor in the nursing program, with just starting in August 2023. I teach the LPN to the ADN program. My background in nursing is mostly LTC and Hospice. I still work as a PRN Hospice Admission Nurse and a clinical instructor (every Saturday). I have two kids- JJ and Raylan, and a wonderful, supportive husband. I am a crafty person, but that has taken the backburner between a new job, graduate school, 2 other jobs, and 2 kids 5 and younger.

Five Things to Know

  1. Travel: My favorite place to travel is the mountains. That's where my momma's family is from and it has always felt like a home away from home. I would love to visit Ireland one day.
  2. Books: I just finished up the Wheel of Time Series. I am currently listening to "Psycho" by Robert Bloch for the umpteenth time. It never gets old.
  3. Food: Chicken is my favorite food. I can eat it for breakfast, lunch, and supper every day.
  4. Movies: I recently finished up watching up the traditional Halloween movies- Nightmare Before Christmas, Halloween Town 1 and 2, and Hocus Pocus 1 and 2. The new Haunted Mansion was surprisingly good.
  5. Joyful Experience: That's a hard one. I can't think of a single one, but I have several LTC and Hospice experiences that make me smile. Of course, being a momma and watching my kids develop their own strong-willed personalities has also given me a lot of joy (and headaches too).
